M goodness you knocked them out!! Very much worth the hike. Awesome job and thanks for sharing. Glad you were able to get away with short leader 👍🏾🎣👍🏾🎣
I will always try to get away with as short of a leader as possible until the fish prove to me I have to go longer. What can I say, it's easier to be accurate with and control a short leader. I go easy every time if it works!
Those brookies are typical in sierra lakes above 10K but there are better ones in nearby Ruawua and George lakes. I fished Moat Lake for my Patreon the next morning and got some bruisers. A couple were real nice.
Thank you. Eventually, I'll get a P.O. box. Between full time work and making content, I won't lie to myself and believe I'd actually have the time or energy to make a regular trip to the post office to check it. I don't fish dries much anymore but things change with the way I fish from time to time. I used to use them all of the time.
Hello Amani, I am not going in order LOL, this lake looks a lot better than Bull Lake, did you think about fishing the inlet in this middle lakd, I know you like fishing the inlet. Brookies are some beautiful fish, glad you were able to get into some good action after that hike. Is there any fishing pressure up there, do you still fill the GPS pull to Long Lake LOL, going to watch Owens next, man these are some scenic videos, thanks again for sharing.
The two lakes I fished this day had good brookie fishing but the size wasn't anything extraordinary. The size of trout is better in nearby Ruwau, long lake, and treasure lake. Ruwau has nice brookies. I have clips for all of those on my backcountry fishing playlist if you haven't seen them and are interested.
Been fishing down below at bishop creek for around 10 years and have been able to pull out some brookies and browns but too many stockers. Just recently started heading up to Ruwau lake and long lake. So much better
I'm with you on that. Bishop creek is stocker central. I have multiple clips for lakes in the backcountry above Bishop on my backcountry fishing playlist. I'm with you, I'd much rather hike a bit to catch wild trout.
I just throw the thing together and start fishing. I fished half the morning with my line not going through the the second eye from the top. I always seem to be in hurry to set up and get started no matter how long I've been fishing. Fortunately, doesn't slow me down for a second.
I just realized your calling to the trout, it’s to school them in becoming smarter and larger by showing them all the fishermen’s flies and lures. What do you think?😉😂😂
