@@TightLoops without question! Been fishing the Sierras since I was a little guy. I finally made it to the back country a couple years ago to catch my first GT. What...a....rush!!

@@ColemanOutdoors we can't wait to fish for them up that way. We were just in Death Valley last week and I was salivating over the though of heading up to the Sierras. Too bad those fish are probably under 10 feet of snow right now haha

Thanks Wayne! How to/gear guides is definitely something we're considering for the future. If you're using a DSLR (which most youtubers are) You ca't go wrong with a Rode Videomic Pro. Check em out! We have a lot of different mics we use, but that one is a good all arounder thats likely to work with your equipment.

Simple tie, just peacock hurl underbody, foam abdomen and head, with a couple black rubber legs. size 14. They couldn't get enough of it!

Thanks, Hayden! Everything you've seen on this channel so far has been shot in full HD (1920x1080) at 24fps. And yes, we do color correct, and grade a lot of the footage. Though the stuff from the first Journey On was pretty much straight out of the camera. Cine 4 picture profile I believe. Doesn't really need much help.

Hey Ben, no worries, you didn't miss it, we intentionally didn't name it. The high country is delicate, and making people do the work to find these places usually ensures that A) they'll take better care of it, and B) less people will, meaning less traffic and potential destruction. But I think given that we've told everyone its in the Beartoothes, and it has Golden Trout in it definitely narrows it down a bit. Do some research, the worst thing that can happen is you end up at some other totally amazing lake with golden trout in it ;)

Hey Alpine_Vulcan. This is not Lightning. However, I hear lightning lake is a real bitch of a climb, with plenty of deadfall/off trail hiking, so be prepared but a butt kicker! That being said, its supposed to hold trophy sized golden trout. We've got dreams of getting up there some day. Let us know what it was like if you go!

@@TightLoops Lightning lake is a Monster! Packed in there about 10 years ago. My biggest mistake was only staying 2 nights... it's an investment to get there and you should stay four or five days. The fishing is insane... the upper lake has some huge Goldens and some strange hybrid fish. The lower lake has beautiful littler Goldens and they feed pretty much all day. My soul wants to go back but my body wouldn't survive the hike - at least in its current state of fitness.
