@@senanstanleyfishing always handy have someone net them for ye. A mostly go myself so net them. Others times way my son so if he's handy he will net them. But we're usually at opposite ends of the pond 🤣🤣

I’d have to have my own net down there, I’ve often been dragged around the lake in a big fish, roaring at people to step out of the way 😂😂😂

Thanks Conor 👌 so I always use 6lb leader over there, I’d say the issue you had with snapping the 8lb was maybe in the knot you used, try out some different knots as some fleurocarbons require different style knots to keep their strength, I’d say thats where your problem came from 🙌☺️

How’s things bud, there’s a few stocked lakes down here, Laois angling centre of Ardaire springs would be two popular spots, fly fishing for huge rainbow and brown trout. If you wanted wild fishing there’s plenty of lake boat rentals around lough derg, although the wild brown trout can be tricky to catch on the best of days. Most of the rivers are club owned but I’m sure there’s a few open to public access. I wouldn’t do any salmon fishing myself so I couldn’t help you with that side of it I’m afraid.

I’m not sure if cloghan has a website it’s a smaller venue, Laois angling centre or Ardaire springs in Kilkenny would be very popular
