Welcome back to 2023 and another video here on Fly Fishing With Jeff! It has been a very long and snowy winter here in the north woods of Wisconsin and nothing could be finer than to be out on the water for the Wisconsin opener ..... in fact, we weren't sure the ice was going to be out for the opener until just about a week ago. Come along with me on this video adventure as I float tube and fly fish for a wide variety of species .... at the top of the list is the native brook trout. In the video I am using my smallest rod, my 2 wt outfit to land the fish … and, in fact, I ended up hooking up with an 18 inch brookie that really gives me a struggle on the small two weight rod and reel.
