This is my 2024 movie review of Fly Me to the Moon, the newest romantci and comedic movie that premiered this weekend. Leave your Fly Me to the Moon reviews and reactions down below. Today, I tell you why this is not what I expected. This film stars Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson. Starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, Fly Me To The Moon is a sharp, stylish romantic comedy set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA's historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Brought in to fix NASA's public image, sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones (Johansson) wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis's (Tatum) already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, the countdown truly begins.

I agree fully, it’s not without its issues but it was a sweet time, it’s charming and entertaining. Probably would have been better with a crowd but I saw it at a Wednesday preview with exactly two other people.

I was an extra in the movie. I played a agent in the movie and you can see me clearly at the end when we are looking at the TV and I am to the far right.

I was very pleasantly surprised and very much liked the film. I'm hoping that we see more of these type of films again. Romantic dramadies, if such a genre exists. Excellent period piece that captures the era and topic very well. Also, there was very good chemistry between Tatum and Johansson. Imagine that, a good date movie. We could certainly use more of those.

What about how Channing Tatum is wearing the same color sweater in 4 different shades switching between them every scene. Why is no reviewer commenting on that - I found it so distracting !! My biggest complaint with the film, costume department failed on this one.

Outstanding I just saw it in my towns vintage theatre I literally went back to 1960 tonight and had my makeup done in style. And don’t u love how little marketing it had? I only heard of it today. The theatre was full of joy and laughter. I’d say the second half was the best and it reminded me of Oppenheimer sometimes. The first half was like too quiet and seemed to need more music I’m not sure. Hats off to the wardrobe changes

I just saw the movie. On Tuesdays, AMC has $7 nights! Fun light movie…. A good date movie! Apple Studios did this and they also produce “For all Mankind” on Apple TV and excellent! I think they reused some of the Mankind sets!!

I always enjoy your reviews but I must admit that I didn't feel similarly to some of your opinions. Firstly, I like Channing Tatum & watched, if not all, most of his movies; however I thought that he was miscasted b/c his 'usual' acting style is unfitting for the role as the Launch Director in this film's 60's era. As for Scarlett & Channing's love interest chemistry, I didn't feel to be believable, but their chemistry as friends, that felt believable. Lastly, I thought Ray Romano was more suitable to play Channing's role as the Launch Director, unlike Channing who neither had the look or the appropriate acting ability like Ray had for this type of film. Apparently, I'm not alone on this opinion of Channing's miscasting. To be generous, Channing performed decently, not the worst but also not the best. Jim Rash was the scene stealer who added humour which this film needed so much along with with Woody, who is good in everything & any era!

Chris Evans was suppose to play the Channing Tatum part but he had to film another movie around the same time so he was forced to drop out.

@@lolayaiii5056 Too bad, Chris Evans would have definitely been a better actor; however, there are so many other capable lead actors to choose from before deciding on Channing. Since Chris Evans is unavailable, perhaps Chris Pine, Miles Teller, James Marsden, Josh Hartnett, Andrew Garfield, or Zachary Levi are other actors, to name a few, who could be considered.

@@Gemstar_70 True, you're right. They should have picked another actor since Chris wasn't available but I guess Channing Tatum was the best option they could get. Chris Evans would have made this movie better. He can express more emotions on his face than Channing. Channing is wooden. Chris is a great actor compared to Channing Tatum. I feel like Channing Tatum is the one aspect of this movie that keeps it from being an awesome movie.

@@lolayaiii5056 TBH, I think Channing was merely one negative aspect of this film. However, I think this film was so poorly written & juvenilely (dull) that even replacing a lead actor or 2 couldn't save this film. Although I appear like I completely dislike this film, which isn't the case. I think it's okay, it's just not great b/c it needs a lot more work & effort, esp in the story. This film was made like an assembly production line in a factory & once the product is quickly produced, then they'd slap on some fancy label to appear expensive & heavy work efforts were put in to merely fool the buyers. This is similar to buying an authentic brand vs. a counterfeit brand product, if you get gist?!?

@@Gemstar_70 You make good points. I feel like near the third act of the movie, it gets a little confusing. I feel like if Chris Evans was in the movie, I could have looked past certain flaws lol. Clearly, I'm like a Chris Evans fan sort of. I think Chris has better chemistry with Scarlett than Channing does.

From the point of view of US legislation, this is a joke. Just... a joke. But this only concerns US legislation, and as for Scarlett Johansson.
