I've been enjoying your videos very much and have watched many of them several times. I'm sure I've watch the SR Caddis Larva more than the others and have been trying to figure out what the multi-strand yarn you are using for the gills. I've not yet seen this yarn in any of your other videos. Do you say what it is anywhere else? If you do, I would very thankful if you could point me in the right direction. Thank you, Ron

Hi Ron, thank you very much and I'm truely sorry about the late response. The gill material used in the SR caddis larva is Uni-thread white in 6/0 but you can use any a little thicker tying thread. Since the video I've come in contact with an other material that works great for doing gills. The material is called Fluoro Brite from Semperfli and is a corded tying thread. I hope this has been to some help.

is this a dry fly could u put a bead head on it?

Hi Davis, this is a nymph so intended to sink. If you want it to get deeper or sink faster you can surely add a bead head on it. Either in a matching black or some contrasting hot spot color.

It has no weight to get it down?
