when listening to me talk about lazer dub, and chenille, and colored UV resin (which she says is just gel nails for men....) my wife goes: "Fly tying is the gayest thing straight men can possibly do without just being gay" ...I'm not sure how I feel about this HAH!
Brian, not to burst your bubble, but no one in their right mind would take anything you say, except for the tying instructions, seriously. I guess that's why I take everything you say seriously, I'm not in my right mind, but it's fun here. Thanks for the lessons Brian. Keep the good stuff coming.
Do you also sell Waffle. Its Nough with the N. Cones from Dreadnought meaning Dread nothing. If you glue magnets to those shoes they will catch hooks dropped when tying flys. Over 6 minutes of noting to do with the title.
Wow, that craft fur brush head sure looks nice. When the craft fur is dense in a brush like that does it still lay down skinny in current or can it actually push some water?
Nice tying as usual. Regarding the Craft fur brush, at least I couldnt see that you would have manipulated the ”stem” of the wire? Arent you worried about it at all? That it would stick out from the head… or having it in a angle that it would brake the thread for example…? Thanks in advance!
Have you tied streamers with laser dub heads that are too small for the length of the dubbing fibers? I’ve been wondering about cutting the fibers in half so that it fits the hook size more appropriately.
I would stay away from cutting Laser Dub. If you cut it, you will have a completely straight edge that you cannot taper....if you tear it, it is already tapered. I am 100% going to do a Tying Tips Video on tearing certain material vs cutting it.
@@flyfishingtheozarks I’ll give tearing a try. I’ve noticed that the trout in my local tail waters consistently bite smaller streamers, border line minnow sized flies. I just watched your laser dub video this morning. I like that tiny minnow pattern you threw together. I’ll give something like that a try as well. Thanks for the great info you’re putting out.
Love the deer hair technique. Love that streamer fly. I’m in Florida so for me I view it as a great large mouth bass fly and also a saltwater fly. With different color combos. Thanks I really enjoy your presentation and style. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
Thanks for another great video! I’m loving the videos focusing on different pieces of tying - I’ve already used several tips across multiple patterns! The sharing of knowledge and expertise is much appreciated
