Kanalgratis is back with another season of Fly vs Jerk - The Reality Pike Fishing Competition. This year tactics are changed, some teams are hungry for revenge and everyone seem to have realized the power of the big fish point... Who has the winning plan? Who will stay on target? Who will endure? The teams fighting in Fly vs Jerk 7 are:
- Vision Sweden with Niklaus Bauer and Thomas Søbirk
- CWC Fishing Team with Stefan Trumstedt and Pierre Monjarret
- Vision Finland with Tuomas Rytkönen and Pyry Granlund
- Storm/Shimano with Mathias Holgersson and Jesper Norell
This was the 6th and final episode of Fly vs Jerk 7. See you again next year!

Riktigt bra och spännande tävling i år! Synd bara att den avslutas men något så vidrigt som ett ögongrepp på sista gäddan. En ordentlig ursäkt och ett löfte om att aldrig göra om det vore verkligen på sin plats. Man tycker ju att alla fiskarna som är med i den här tävlingen borde veta bättre än så...

+SolarBaits 100% agree, they had my sympathy up untill that very point. After that I think they deserved to lose, that's such an unneseccary way to handle the pike when its even in a net... :(

l I meant its unnecessary to do so, but especially since the fish was savely caught in the net. Fortunately its the only bad point I have for the show. :)

+pr0faker there seems to be a real shit storm on the Swedish and Finnish pike fishing groups on Facebook right now about this. i saw a comment from the guy (jesper norell) that he can just say sorry and did not even remember that he did it during the competition and that he was under stress and pressure during it, but that it does not make it ok. So i would not crucify him just yet, we all make mistakes once in a while.

+l Yeah that was unfortunate. He seems like a seasoned pike fisherman, I hope it was a mistake due to the pressure of the competition and not a "technique" he uses regularly.

Really really disappointed in that angler in the Team Storm/Shimano WTF was eye grip all about at 33.20????? MY god to make a pike blind is piss poor to say the lest .

+Thomas Hill I agree, all through this competition their fish handling has been poor. They should be ashamed of their net as well, the fish kept getting hung up in it. This is not a good example to set for anglers who are new to pike fishing. That aside thoroughly enjoyed this competition again.

To be fair to Mathias, it seems it's "only" Jesper being poor at handling the fish. He's the one struggling with the net and the pliers as well. I really don't get why either, I havn't had a single hook in my fingers and I purely grab pike by the geel, which happens to also open their mouth.. can't be more simple than that. Judging by how Jesper handled the drilling of the big fish he hooked, and lost, I guess he's just not very experienced at fishing. Seems he's more enjoying it and tagging along, while having a senior position in the company (as sponsors of the show). Hopefully next time Mathias gets a better sidekick, havn't got much bad to say about him, apart from his English. ;)

Ladies and Gents at Kanalgratis you have excelled yourselves yet again. Many many thanks for posting. CWC congratulations, Vision Sweden commiserations, it was great conclusion to a thrilling competition. Hopefully other manufactures would/will supply teams and funding for Fly Vs Jerk 8.

Another amazing year of Fly vs Jerk! Really hoped CWC was going to pull it off this year, cause those vision sweden guys are so damn good! And they did so very glad for Truman especially, he's been so close over the years! Love the finish guys, they are so relaxed and seem like having fun even, if they aren't winning. Also their lunches are worth 2 points every day :)

+zkilllz Hur fan finns det ens folk kvar på internet som inte fattat hur youtube funkar än. När något laddas upp är det alltid 240/360 i början, sen blir bättre och bättre kvalitet tillgängligt allt eftersom. RU-vid är 11 år nu, det har i stort sett alltid varit såhär. Vissa kanaler gör dock videon privat tills den bearbetats klart för att sedan göra den tillgänglig med full kvalitet på en gång. Men oftast är det skit i början och sen blir det bättre...

As a fellow Finn ,i truly - deeply - feel ashamed. The guys from Vision Finland really strenghten the stereotype of Finnish people's inabiilty to speak proper English. For instance, one of the guys talks about a "currency" in the water. Usually i'm mostly amused by the "Rally English" by my fellow countrymen, this however is too much to digest. :D Great show nevertheless!
