Hello. I’m a beginner and really trying with your videos. I’ve watched them repeatedly and I’ve learned quite a bit. Can you help me? 1. The flypad indicates a QNH of 1013. I’m using the default ATC and she indicates a setting of 29.91 prior to take off. Which one do I use? I’m flying out of Manchester. 2. On takeoff you say to use toga. However when I go to toga, I get the alarm. Why the alarm? 3. Auto pilot will not engage at all. When I click auto pilot, I get a couple of beeps or noises and no auto pilot. This is all with the FBW A32nx. I wanted to learn this plane since I got the Simbrief/Navigraph subscription. Thank you
1013 is hectopascals. In the USA they use millibars so the default atc is using that. You can change the qnh display in the a32nx to millibars. The alarm is a take off configuration alarm. Means you're not properly configured for takeoff. Did you set your flaps before using toga? Autopilot not coming on is a sign that the mcdu is not setup correctly.
After a pause of more than 4 years I am back to the flight sim community. I was flying the PMDG B777 in FSX. Now in MSFS, I have my first encounter with the Airbus product via the FlyByWire A32NX. So far so good. Only one problem; hte Top of Climb and Top of Descent markers do not show up on the Nav Display nor in the MCDU Flight-Plan Page. I have meticulously followed each and every steps in the tutorial (Manchester to Dusseldorf flight), I tried in 4 times and every time the makers do no appear. Probably missing somethin somewhere. Any suggestions?
Hi there, the TOC and TOD markers are related to VNAV, which is only available in the Experimental version of the A32nx. Also make sure you have INIT B filled in properly
@@dimitry1653 Thank you very much for your answer. Beleive it or not, but I found out only a few hours ago that TOC and TOD were available in the experimental version only. That version was the only I had not tryed. I am currently doing the Manchester - Dusseldorf flight in the experimental version and everything is working properly. Thank you again
what should I do if have MANUAL [hdg] showing I in my top right on ND? If I go to the NAV mode it just turns for that heading instead of following my flight plan
My aircraft starts moving with engines at 20% thrust which is also the idle thrust. Also, I use a KB for turning the rudder in taxi way but the turn circle is very small compared to the default aircraft. Anyone knows why or can advise please?
Hi, did you go into the EFB (electronic flight bag) then settings and sim options and calibrate your throttle detents ? I removed reverse and bound a key to hold for reverse instead. For rudder issue have you tried going into EFB Settings and realism and switch on separate tiller from rudder inputs? Not tried this myself since I have rudder pedals.
Cheers David, I did calibrate all my throttles in EFB. Is Idle thrust 20% correct and is it meant to move the aircraft when parking brake is released? I shall try to switch on separate tiller from rudder inputs in EFB. I shall also update the Experimental version and have tried the stable and Development versions too - experienced same issues.
@@H.Witcher It isn't, but it might be a case of the flight simulator sensitivity being off (settings > controls > select throttle > sensitivity). I know I had to manipulate mine before it finally stopped recognizing reverse thrust as idle.

Im having problems steering the aircraft on the ground while yousing my rudders why. Like sometimes its just allways turns right and cant turn left. And sometimes you cant turn the aircraft at all?

Greetings! I just watched this video again as a review but did have a question: Right after you took off, the A320 seemed to begin flying the SID, but you had not engaged the autopilot as yet. I was under the impression that the A/P had to be engaged before the plane would go into managed mode and start navigating according to what was programmed into the MCDU. Apparently, I missed something you must have done to get the plane to begin the right turn following takeoff. I thought maybe you set the heading into selected mode but I thought that still required the A/P to be engaged. Appreciate you straightening me out. Thanks!
Once I turn on autopilot, the plane climbs to about 6000ft and then doesn’t attempt to climb to my planned altitude of 30000ft for the entire flight. Anyone know why?
Ok, it went really good until takeoff. First off all the A/Thr did not engage. I noticed your went on by itself when you set TO speed but mine did not. After some fiddling it came on in the air climbing. It kinda messed things up a bit. Also my climb speed is set to 210 by MCDU. No way to change that. I can not set it manually. Have tried but no effect. Might be a bug with my FBW installation. QUESTION. Did you do something to set /THR or does it come automatically? I could not set it during takeoff so I have no idea how to enable it.
i think the THR section comes automatically and/or it is not implemented in the fbw a32nx because anything i type in that field, it gives me a "Format error" message
After having a break from MSFS due to work , and moving, I am back in the seat. I see what I did wrong the first time and have succefully done my first flight. My mistake earlier was to miss the Throttle lever to get in CLIMB . An easy step but something I overlooked.
How do you input altitude restrictions into the MCDU so they show up when you turn on CSTR? Yours just seemed to show up as if they carried from your SimBrief plan, mine do not.

I was having a few issues, after I took off I retracted the flaps and put the throttle to the CLB detent but when I did that the throttle just increased and my plane would go into Overspeed and the autopilot would not work. Do you have any Idea what I am doing wrong?
hey so during my cruise the managed speed mode just stops and won't turn back on and its done this every time. there is also a constant tcas stby warning that no matter what I do won't turn off, do you know any fixes?
Make sure auto rudder is off in the assistance options.. if that does not help check out the separate tiller function for the A32nx. I think you have not set that up.
I don't know what the fuck I did wrong but I messed something up auto pilot just turned off and i start going like 350 knots and my flight plan disappears I hear a bunch of beeping and it just was flying straight not turning not doing anything I followed everything step by step
