Great video Geroge!! I have a good fly tying tip,don't over tighten your vice when you place a hook in it.over tighten the vice damages the hook and creates a weak spot in the hook and they will and can break.

I use a leader length same as the rod so it's 9' or 10' with three flies, greenwells glory, march brown and black spider , I have more flies now than I will ever use but my tip is keep it simple.
Hi George, fishing short lines has always been a given for me, but generally speaking what length of rod for river fishing do you use? There appears to me to be varying opinions. I would like to know what sort of action your rod has too please. thank you
I mostly use a fast actioned 9 foot rod rated for 3 weight line,I use a 4 weight double tapered line with it because it then has enough weight to fish it short,I occasionally use a 10foot 2 weight for euro style nymphing in high water.Hope this answers your questions,thanks Peter.
