Cool video, and I even 'discovered' something watching it. I was a bit surprised that you got a departure assigned at EDDG. I mean, it makes sense, I just hadn't really thought about it. At the moment I have the Garmin Pilot app on my phone, so I thought it would make a nice opportunity to play around with it, and look up your assigned departure ("HMM 3Y"). Then I spent quite some time being confused. Turns out the departure charts in the Garmin Pilot app is sorted by (probably) the chart title. So while the German AIP nicely lists the charts/pages as, "EDDG 5-7-1", "EDDG 5-7-3", "EDDG 5-7-4", and so on, in the app "EDDG 5-7-1" is the fifth chart/page of seven in the 'Departure Procedures' group. Anyway, that got me curious as to which charts you primarily use for your flights?
Thanks for your reaction! I use ForeFlight with Jeppesen charts on an iPad, I can also view all the charts on the MFD screen on the left side of the cockpit. I guess you’ve expected the missed approach procedure after the low approach? That could also make sense, but they rarely do that in Germany, I guess for noise abatement and trafficflow reasons. But it always works fine and usually after a few minutes they issue a direct. Sometimes they even ask if you want a direct or if you prefer to fly the entire SID for training for instance.
