In this video John and I fly over what was, for many years, one of England's most secret and highly guarded military sites

I am not a qualified flying instructor nor do I ever claim to be a very good pilot. I fly for fun and basically record for my own interest and review but upload because a number of people suggested that I should. I do try to edit for enjoyment and story telling and this means that some content is not always included.
Music - All from the RU-vid Sound Library
Camera:
Front facing and panel mounted - Go Pro Hero 4 filming at 1080 wide @ 30fps - wide
Underwing camera - Go Pro Hero 3+ filming at 1080 medium @ 30fps
Sound Recording - Sony ICD-AX412F with a SAA40 (40db) Audio Attenuator
My headset is a Clarity Aloft
The video was produced on Cyberlink 365 (Power Director 19 and Cyberlink Audio Director 11)

My Dad was a Radar Mech on Lancaster bombers, WWII. He wasn’t even allowed to tell his parents what he was doing for the war effort’s. Really enjoyed the insight.

I never tire of flying over that piece of coastline. It is fascinating and also a connection to my late father who boarded many of his ships at Harwich/ Felixstowe whilst in the merchant navy. Lee

Great update Tim, I watched this on my phone when you released it but wasn't signed in, so I've enjoyed it all again on my PC all signed in and can now leave this comment. Enjoyed John's video and will check out more of his stuff. Ipswich was my first land-away when I was training at Southend, loved that turn over the bridge low level. Looking forward to your next update. Thanks Tim

Thanks for watching again Terry. As I have just said to Kev, viewing numbers have dropped off since I stopped the weekly uploads and I feel that RU-vid is not pushing my content as they did? Having said that, comments are still coming in from the hard core of regular viewers which is important and I do appreciate.

Not lost your touch Tim, from a flying and video point ,both a fantastic watch. There always seems something new and interesting to fly over in your neck of the woods.

Good luck with the move Tim... I too am on the permanent move and in 14 days will become Thaieagle!. Even further from the green and pleasant pastures. !! Hopefully will be briefly back for a blast of chilled air in Feb. Looking forward to the Christmas Special !

My favourite Friday of the month. Glad to see you and John get some air time. Its amazing how once strictly forbidden top secret areas are now nature reserves, be that air bases or boffin nests. I was going to wish you an early Happy Christmas but since we're getting a Dec 23rd update, I will save that until then. Hopefully both my parents will be out of hospital by then too. It has been one of those fortnights.

Most enjoyable, what fascinating geography near your neck of the woods. VQ-BXH is a Dassault Falcon 8X exec jet registered in Bermuda and operated by Shell Aircraft Ltd.My apologies if someone has already pointed that out. I so much agree with your comment about the invisibility of gliders, one time I only saw a glider in front of me because the sun flashed along the leading of the wing, that certainly got my attention!
@JodelFlyer
@JodelFlyer Год назад
Thank you John. Nobody else has commented on the Dassault Falcon and I hadn’t looked up the Bermuda bit. Gliders can be very difficult to see can’t they 😊

So good to see you and John having quality time together . As an apprentice in the early 70’s working with the Post Office Telephones as it was at the time ,I attended many courses at Bletchley Park . None of the fellow attendees had any idea as to it’s significance and role during the Second World War , thanks to the official secrets act . Seeing Martlesham from the air rekindled all those memories . Thank you Tim for your continued episodes , they are very much looked forward to .
