FlightChops what issues were you having, peaking? Were you recording into a GoPro? Not familiar with the older versions, but on the Hero 5, you can adjust the input audio levels. Treat it as a line in and set the levels to low and make sure the squelch on the comm is adjusted and it should be crystal clear.
Flew over that place so many times since training and just random flying in the Central FL area, would see them fly below me with that bright yellow plane catching my eye! I was out in Tavares today and spoke with the Jones aviation and might pick up my Seaplane rating this Summer from them.
elcidS15 Not for me. They told me people usually never do the course in the Maule in 5 hours but I was signed off at 5.3 which they say is pretty rare. The people there are great, and I hope to be working there hopefully within the next couple months. I know they closed down for the virus but that was a couple weeks ago so hopefully that won’t be an issue for you. I had Dave as my instructor, he’s really cool. The plane flies weirdly, you put in a lot of left aileron just to fly straight and level, and it seems to need a lot of push just to stay coordinated. Could just be me, I am on the lankier side. Oh and also, the fuel transfer just puts the fuel from the aux to the mains. You just run it until you have enough fuel in the mains. So it goes aux-mains-engine. Not that you’ll use it but I had no clue what it did until after my checkride. Sorry for the long post lmao
@@elcidS15 Glad you like it, and glad that they opened back up just in time for you! I had to leave for home the day they reopened, so I couldn't get any more time lol. I remember I was suuuper sore after the first day.
I have always wanted to learn to fly just kept pushing it back and back. Now I think I am going to sign up for flight school and maybe go all the way to ATP.
I have PPL and I would like to get seaplane license but I don't know what's the requirements and how is the course goes,,!! Help me guys please ✋🏻👨🏻✈️
If looking to get a sea plane add-on rating to a single engine land certificate, how long would that take? I know everyone learns at different rates and such, so I was just looking for a ballpark time.
