Good testing Dave. Seems to be more stable in the air using this app but that range is way too limited compared to the suggested app.

Thanks Dan, yes this app seems to eliminate the TBE but has limited range, just after uploading this video i saw another of a guy using this M RC Pro app on the 720E and he had limited range as well compared to the 1km that that drone could fly out to

Turn the max distance to "off" You set it at 200m.

Very cool that you tested out an alternate app so everyone can know what to expect. That saves all time and the headaches of it not working or working correctly for everyone. Great dedication to your fellow RCers🙂

Thanks Brad, i read some suggestions on one of the Holystone Facebook pages and just thought I'd try it out myself to see if it's any good to the original Ophelia GO app Holystone recommends be used with this drone, I would have to say i prefer the Ophelia GO app overall.

Just read some others used it in some of the Holystone Facebook groups and said it was better than the original app so thought I’d give it a try myself, tbh I don’t think it is, has poor wifi range and capped distance of only 200m of flight. I believe this app is designed for the old MJX bugs B5W

@@PERTHWESTOZRC agreed Dave! I don't think a different app will ever make any performance differences as that is going to be determined by the hardware and antenna placement. The only way a different app will help is if the app has better features or an improved layout or it is more stable than the original (doesn't crash). Good idea though testing this to prove that fact.

That app is very hard on the batteries!! My red light on the drone came on at about 10 minutes!! Talking about the double a battery on the left side of the controller!! Normally those batteries would have lasted long long time!!

The batter in the drone last the same amount but the double a batteries it eats those up!!

I tried the app yesterday but, my results were nowhere near as good as yours. As soon as it went to hover, it started shaking and then took off to the right at high speed, it just totally freaked out. I tried re-installing the app but it did the same thing.

That’s unfortunate Billy, these drones can go a bit crazy for no reason at all, glad you were able to get the drone under control and land it safely. I just decided to try this app as an experiment because I saw a few people talk about it in the Holystone Facebook groups regarding this HS710 gps drone, tbh I didn’t like the restriction on range and the wifi was worst than on the original Ophelia app
