Flying to Africa's Most DANGEROUS Country: AIR BURKINA 

What separates you from these other flight / travel channels is that you put yourself on the line, taking the less travelled road and giving us a glimpse on the rougher side of the world. Love it! Never change Noel!

Blimey....all credit to this man. I stopped watching all other travel vloggers ages ago because most just seem to want Presidential type service but Noel invests his time and sometimes risks his health (the overnight Indian bus journey for example) - what an eye-opener journey this was - well done to him.

Worked in Burkino Faso just before covid. Told before i went i would likely not return as it is a ‘white mans graveyard’. All i met were happy, friendly people that made me very welcome. At no time did i feel threatened or at risk. Beautiful country and beautiful people - go back - most certainly.

I’ve been interested in Burkina Faso since we had a guy from there act as a French teaching assistant at my high school. He was a fascinating guy with incredible energy and the biggest smile.

Love how the music matches the culture of the place you are in.

Ah, Ouagadougou. It was on my bucket list many years ago when the country was called Upper Volta, and was my second-last stop after about two yers in Africa as a 25-6 year old journalist (spent most of my time in Rhodesia turning to Zimbabwe) I was there about a week and only had enough money left to stay at a really slummy hotel except for two nights at the end of my stay, when I wrote a story about the place for a Canadian news agency,. I just wanted to produce a story with a dateline - Ouagadougou. This is truly a bucket-list place for serious travellers.

Air Burkina looked great. Meal service, clean toilet and a nice soft landing - so that makes them better than Ryanair!

One of my three favourite capital cities - Ouagadougou, Antananarivo and Tegucigalpa. Never been to any of them, but always keep them handy for the occasional pub quiz. Great video (as per usual).

You went to my country !!! I love it there i feel more safe in Burkina than i do in USA. I can’t wait to go back home and visit my family. You made me smile thank you so much for visiting. We welcome you again.

Another great amusing video from Noel. Paperwork, Visa, who need them! This is Africa! When I lived in Nigeria I had all the necessary "stuff". No one at Immigration ever checked it entering or leaving the country. My "fixer" had money poking out of my Passport and he walked me to the front of the line, held up the Passport. The banknotes were collected without us ever stopping and with that we had cleared Customs and Immigration.

Burkina actually looked pretty straight forward and nothing to worry about at all. Quite lovely.

It is always wonderful to follow you in all those African countries airports . I notice that you have basic knowledge of French which is useful in many Afracan country.

It looked a lot less stressful than coming back through Heathrow immigration

Hey Noel! As always a fantastic video. I watched Cahill’s most recent vid and I thought he said he was joining “Nile” for an African adventure but now I’m thinking he said Noel. If that’s the next move, I’m excited to see what’s in store. I do have 1 question (especially since in this vid you traveled to a “dangerous” place) - Have you ever been genuinely afraid for your safety while traveling to some of the locations you’ve been to? Make that 2 questions - If yes, where was that? Safe travels.

This might be the most excited I've ever seen Noel after arriving someplace - he looks like a giddy schoolboy once he's in Ouaga. So awesome.

So many other travel channels would never dare of going on the crazy journeys you go on and that's why I love this because you don't hesitate to show us the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. Seeing the smaller/less-travelled parts of the world has always been so fascinating to me :)

When I saw the title I thought wow he must be going to Chad or Somalia............ I lived in Burkina and other West African countries for most of my life. Yes there are real problems due to the general unrest across the Sahel and some awful events but which have been mainly in the north although yes there were some nasty attacks in Ouaga a few years ago. However Burkina remains one of the most friendly and wonderful places to visit in Africa and I am glad that after your continual "nervousness" during the video you gave such a good review to "the Land of Incorruptible People" and to Air Burkina which I have flown regularly on since the 1980s and never had any problems (unlike most other airlines in the region). Sad that you are not staying long enough to get a real flavour of this wonderful city.

Ouagadougou is on my bucket list too! AirBurkina looks great. Cheers!

What an interesting place to visit. I always love flying on the E-175, it's such a speedy comfortable plane, hard to beat the single seat in business class when flying solo.

Question for Noel: What do you say when security/border guards ask what’s the purpose of your stay? Do they accept this is your job, or have they ever got funny about your short stays and flight hopping?

The hotel room and the aeroplane seemed clean and the seats looked really comfortable.

Burkina Faso is a red country but I don't think it's the most dangerous. I'm surprised how clean the hotel is. Sudan, Libya, Somalia, Chad, Niger are the scary ones. But most people are reasonable, there's just so much unrest and violence. Burkina Faso is unsafe but it looks a lot cleaner and organised. A visit to Africa is on my bucket list one day but I'll stick to Botswana/Namibia/Rwanda for my own safety but I hope and pray that one day Africa's more dangerous countries find peace.

I think the aircraft you flew on was Air Burkina's only active aircraft, the rest are apparently stored

I did my Master thesis in Kosmoro in Burkina Faso. Those people are extremely friendly and always want to help.

I have family in Burkina Faso and because of the safety problems it's been a long time since I haven't seen them. I kind of feel good to see the airport once again and just for that a huge thanks ❤ However if anyone wants to fly Air Burkina, beware cause you might get any checked bags loaded in the next flight...

I don't understand why one could be afraid to travel to Burkina Faso. I felt very safe there. Very friendly and peaceful residents. And unfortunately, Islamist attacks have to be expected in many countries. Not only in Africa...

Burkina is definitely not the most dangerous country in Africa. Ouagadougou is such a great place.

Great video. Must have been in 1990 or so when my mother and her sister took a flight to Burkina Fasso to visit my brother who lived there at the time in a small village due to his job.

Wish you could have checked it the city! Have no clue what it looks like. Have fun on your next flight. Be safe.

You can tell which countries give their airliners more resources. Air New Zealand has a full black livery (money) Burkina and my country south Africa have all white paint with the airline name and logo in color (no money) That doesn't apply to lufthansa or emirates because they have like a million planes so it's understandable to save there.

Dakar, where you call to book a transport as function altered living in Gothenburg Sweden. Ouagadougou used to have rather big international film festival, the biggest in Africa.

I travelled overland to Burkina Faso about 25 years ago. I had an amazing time and Ouagadougou was a reallyl fun city. I guess things are a bit dangerous nowadays sadly

As a kid who grew up in a travel agency family (we owned a small agency that my Mom ran, managed, everything) I got pretty good at using the ancient TWA PARS-II computer system circa 1980 to look up all manner of flights around the world and one of my favorite destinations was ALWAYS Ouagadougou in what was then Upper Volta, both very intriguing names to a kid and of course being in the middle of Africa was always fascinating. I love that your whole trip was pretty easy and yes, all the airport and Air Burkina staff seemed to be so kind and accommodating. It would be great if you could have stayed a couple night and did a bit of a walk around....but that might have been dicey considering Burkina is suppose to be so dangerous. At any rate, good job and way to act as a good sales agent for Burkina Faso travel! Just one last thing, your trip from Tunisia to Jeddah was way worse, bad everything, terrible customer service, terrible Saudi Arabian Airlines and general disorganization on what should have been a much more simple, civilized trip and here you are in Burkina Faso and everything worked as it should with no trouble.
