I flew in a Stearman @PDK about 20 years ago. Very nice flight.

I love that you flew into my town. Live in Soddy Daisy, TN. I usually fly out of 1AO( Dallas Bay Skypark) or FGU(Collegedale Airport). Love our small mtns and ridges.

So great to see you guys landing at our home airport! My daughter coaches Chattanooga Junior Rowing less than 500 yards from the Boathouse restaurant. So proud when folks use the proper three syllables when pronouncing Chat-tan-ooga. Well done! And yes, Wilson Air is our best GA FBO. Good choice!

Kelley is good people on a great mission. I traded some emails with her about a female RU-vid pilot (in a good way) and she was nice enough to reply. Kris... luckiest guy in the world... no doubt about it. I recognized some other RU-vid faces at the end.

Kris, You really need to get a ride in a Stearman. I was able to get a Aerobatic demo flight several years ago with the Red Barron Pizza Squadron in one of their Stearmans, I rode in one and my wife rode in another, The Red Barron Squadron was in town for a local air show in the Dallas area. My wife worked for a major grocery retailer in the advertising department at the time, it was one of the many perks we received thru her work. I had just recently completed my PPL at that time, it was the best time flying I ever had, we did loops and rolls and stall turns, complete with smoke, it was too cool. It was really cool to watch the second plane doing aerobatics from the air.

Ah the joys of GA! Jump into the plane, fly to Chattanooga for lunch... What could possibly be better especially with a plane load of girls.... Kris, you're living the life!!! Flygirl ROCKS and is following in the footsteps of the great Amelia Earhart who PROVED that women can and do make awesome pilots... What a beautiful day for a flight over the southern Smokeys into Chattanooga... Just gorgeous... Greased that landing too :D

i was lucky enough to go up in one of the "Red Baron" pizza stearmans, some years ago. A flight I'll never forget. The pilot asks me what kind of flight I wanted, and I told him "sock it to me". Got some great maneuvers from him. Even inverted.

You guys have far too much fun if I lived in America I would love to join you it’s always exciting to see your videos I only a sim pilot so it not as exciting as the real thing tho but my friends got me 2hour trail flight so I’m looking forward to that keep on flying and doing the vids guys

I have a few hours in the Stearman. Many years ago, Kentucky Flying an FBO at KLOU rented a Stearman. You fly one of those almost as much by sound as anything.

If you are ever headed north pver or around KSDF and are close to Columbus, In. KBAK, I highly recommend Hangar 5 restaurant.

My first open cockpit ride was with a lady pilot! In a Fleet! My second open cockpit ride was in a Travel Air Biplane! I had a misspent youth! But a great life in Aviation!

Fact check: it’s only 2 hours driving from BNA to CHA (130 miles). AND you do have the fun of going over Monteagle Mountain, which is famous in story and song with truckers for its long steep grades (hard on brakes). 🤓😀

15:03: “if we were driving from Nashville to Chattanooga it would take three hours.” I would like to challenge that claim. We live in a county about 20 miles south west of Atlanta Hartsfield airport. Our son used to be stationed at Fort Campbell, and lived next to Clarkesville Tennessee. We drove up there and back many times. It takes one hour to get to Lake Allatoona Northwest of Atlanta, and a total of two hours to get to Chattanooga. On I-24 In two more hours we would be in Nashville, for a total of four hours. Then one more hour to Clarkesville, for a total of five hours. It was always right around two hours between Chattanooga and Nashville. Of course our speed was around 10 miles over the speed limit. I always wanted to fly my wife and I to Clarkesville and back but that never happened. I did, however, get to fly to Destin to pick her up and bring her back home. That was a nice little flight into Eglin airspace. After I got my license I realized there was a sort of a breakeven point between driving and flying. For me, if it took five hours to drive, then it was worth flying for 2 for the aircraft I would be renting. Driving for four hours equates to under two hours for flying. So a driving trip had to be a minimum of four hours to be worth it to fly instead. So, Destin (where our son and his family lived before Fort Campbell) and Fort Campbell were good flying destinations. Myrtle Beach was on my list also. Another nice trip in the Baron. Always need to be learning something, great advice.

Did you do a ‘just before takeoff’ safety brief? I know that you’re all pilots but one thing I’ve noticed on so many youtube flying videos is the importance of doing that checklist.
