@@Dante12466 I live in Italy and let me tell you that there are awful pizza everywhere, and people still eat there. I mean people still eat at MC Donald or burger king what did you expect.
@@uim-uniteditalianmappersthat would make it a low rating for me I love crispy everything chicken pizza everything so if pizza in Italy isn’t crispy it’s sucks 😂
Oh wow!!! My favourite place in Amsterdam to get pizza is L'antica, they have a location here as well! I knew they had some in Italy but I've never seen it, thanks for the surprise seeing my favourite pizzeria in its original habitat :)))
☺️ cool I’m curious about how it is compared to the original. I’m not from Naples, but I eat the pizza from Michele in a restaurant in my city. And probably is different here too. Insanely good but different 🤭
Hi! I was born and raised in Naples, I don't know the pizza in Amsterdam but that pizzeria in Naples only has this place, in the whole world, so I supposed only the name Is quite the same. Bye and enjoy Neapolitan pizza 🍕🍕
I don't think it's a right comparison at all. At least not in this case. Andy Warhol Vs Michaelangelo is like comparing a full 3 course meal to snack. They both can be good, they are both good, just one has less elements to show the taste. American pizza is still similar in form to Italian to some extent
@@legrus542 that's kind of a good comparison actually, cause New York pizza is tasty but it's also pretty much junk food so it's best enjoyed as a snack some times, while Neapolitan Pizza is a genuinely nice meal that doesn't leave you all greasy and on the verge of an heart attack when you eat an entire pie.
Maybe It's good but you can't say that is the second best pizzeria in the world. We don't know what joe's pizza taste like but of course Napoli is the italian city mother of pizza so probably that is more likely to be the best, but a lot of places make really good pizza in Italy. Even Italian people dont know them all.
@@jakeleite2120 Well Italy is the birthplace of it so it doesn’t shock me that it won despite not being the best pizza restaurant. But yeah I’m from ny aswell and Joe’s is one pretty good slice of pizza. It’s the basic pizza you’d imagine but it sure as hell isn’t a 9. Probably a 6 at best this dude must have been biased because there is no way an *American* pizza could compare with Italy. I’ve only been there once and went to a pretty decent place for pizza and it was miles better. But at the end of the day Joe’s is what you must have at night 😉
@@ilpisi9091 sono siciliano. Di pizze buone ne ho mangiate diciamo. Non paragonabili alle migliori, ma che vengano paragonate a quelle di New York mi pare un po' un colpo basso 😅
@@gentlemancharmander4411 Uh no sorry you are wrong,we literally created pizza and you want it to compare it with literally a pizza that was literally just some bread and cheese?
Get off your high horse. Food is food doesn't matter where it's created. Food adapts to the local environments, and people have different tastes. No need to feel superior because of a food
dawg ive never felt more blessed to live in canada where in winter its too cold outside for your pizza to spoil in the box. perfect for out in the woods, you learn to like cold food too. pizza is crazy good cold
I was in Italy in the summer, and during a glass blowing demonstration the host was asking us our favorite foods, and one person said pizza. The response the guy gave was hilarious. he said “Even our worst pizza is better than your best” and I was dying after that lol
Honestly though I would bet it is THAT good. I mean especially if you're passionate about something. Like in his case food, if you try food that really blows you away and you know it's gonna be one of the only times you ever get to have this dish. I feel like I'd have some tears of joy, personally.
@@jordanfelt5978 Bro it is THAT good I never finish a full American pizza but when I get a pizza in Italy I can easily eat the entire pizza and I order one more so I can eat it right b4 bed
@@OG-Sinx Do you live in Italy or something? Because that's kind of cool. Like I don't know too many people who are fortunate enough to get an authentic Italian pizza on a regular basis.
@@jordanfelt5978 Nah I live in the states but I have family in Italy so every once in a while I'll go over for summer break. It's cool bc my aunt lives in a nice apartment with the best pizzeria I've eaten at right below it so u can literally order pizza then walk downstairs when it's ready and take it back to your room
@@jordanfelt5978 There are some local Italian pizzerias established by Italians in my state who make pizza almost exactly like they make it in Italy so I still eat good pizza here. Ofc it costs more here but u get what u pay for and it's more than 100% worth it
Fr, an a fresh pizza made literally in Italy when he ordered it only a 9.4💀 Like mf had to fly to a different country and have it made fresh just to rate it a 0.4 higher💀
bro italians chill out man...Its a goddamn food, I know its ur national but damn..im also not murdering mass crowds of people for saying that Czechian food is trash
Up to more than twenty years ago it was Michele's. But nowadays, since the original pizzaiolo died, the quality has decreased a lot. Nowadays There are much better pizzeria in Naples and in the rest of Campania also. I'm from Naples.
Tbh as an italian i must say joe's pizza is a very good pizza, especially considering the average US take-away pizza. Maybe is time to remind all people out there that (napoletan) traditional pizza is very different also from others italian pizza (which look more like joe's) and that is the reason that makes it way better.
As an Italian, finally someone that says that. Not every italian pizza is good. The neapolitan mixture is different. I don't love pizza but Da Michele's is really really good.
😂 I literally just watched a video where dude asked a New Yorker where the best pie in NY was. Dude responded “BLEAKER ST PIZZA!……. ANYWHERE BUT JOE’s!”… it is in all caps there cause he was yelling out his taxi window speeding away.
if an american made slice of pizza starts to mold after 12 hours one must question the quality of the i verdienst and the cleanliness of the place it was made
Indeed! In Italy, pizzas usually can last even 24h-36h in open air with if it's not scorching hot. It's very usual from us (i'm Italian) to eat pizza even the next day if it was left. I was very surprised when he said that Joe's pizza was already molding after so little time (while it was inside a plastic bag for the majority of the trip, without being in contact with air so to initiate the oxydation process).
Its not a question of entropy. In Italy its difficult to a pizza becoming moldy after just 10 hours, but at least you have to move It to the fridge its obvious that in the air it kinda get moldy.
On a domestic basis, NYC hands down. People will toss Around Chicago deep dish and Detroit style, but NYC is the pizza capital of the U.S. That being said, I hear parts of Italy have the next level pizza as well as Italian food in general.
as someone who lives in a city that makes really good examples of many regional styles of pizza I have to say that the new York style is the one that leaves alot more to desire. now a Sicilian style pie 😍
@@lysolkills99oftherona42 NY style tends to be overused across the country. Even by chains. I love a regular slice in NYC. But a Sicilian pie is also fantastic here. Depends on my mood. But a NY Sicilian slice is very heavy. Pretty much a 2-1 ratio in terms of making me full.
@M.K.D.S tf you mean mouldy pizza, he got it like an hour before the flight. I usually fly with even more, older food. They don't care about the food, its the water that scares them
@M.K.D.S Italian customs is not in NYC. You're confusing security with customs. Customs only checks people's stuff sometimes. It only got moldy later on anyway.
Se devi prendere in giro un nome almeno scrivilo in modo giusto, e non parlo delle maiuscole e minuscole ma del fatto che grammaticalmente è tutto sbagliato.
They're honestly both amazing. I've been to Naples and loved the pizza. But the honest truth is there are many pizzerias in New York with the same consistency and taste as you can find in Naples. This shouldnt be a surprise. But every pizza lover should visit Naples. I loved my time there. Authentic Italy for me. And the views are breathtaking.
Hi im from Italy, from naples, i tried Joes pizza when i went to NYC, and sadly It was kinda mid 4 or 5/10 They really cant compare, its basically an insult comparing those two
