One of the things that makes her voice so unique is that at any given moment, she sounds like she might be overcome with emotion and start to cry. Amazing.
The love of God is flowing through her and as a christian when you love the Lord and sing praises to him, you can't help but be overcome with thankful emotion.
+Finite Full She has a new song called "Impossible" thats out. I heard her voice on the radio a few days ago and was shocked and so I looked it up and found she was going solo and making new music. This is from her wiki "Her debut solo album, Life Screams, will be released in early 2016"
Lacey's voice is natural and genuine. Compare it to the other music video and it sounds like there's no auto tune. That's a very good trait of singers in bands
Such a beautiful & emotionally raw song. ❣ She is literally fighting that demonic influence of depression & hopelessness with her pure worship of God. Hallelujah, in the name of Jesus!!
That fact that you've left this band, this beautiful, amazing, creative, outgoing, gorgeous band has left me in several tearful occasions. I really hope you come back to us.
Lacey, we will never forget your voice and everything you offered to us.. I became a christian listening to flyleaf songs.. I think that flyleaf will never be the same after Lacey's goodbye. Lacey, we love you. You will always be Flyleaf.
Unless you knew it, would you believe this song is her celebration of God? Absolutely amazing song, Lacey's voice is incredibly mesmerizing.. I Miss musicians like this..
Massive, uncontrollable tearful joy came over me listening to this just now. I think I caught something of the unspeakable joy her heart is emanating because of the gift of life God gave her. Beauty. The human voice is just a wonderful creation in the right hands.
I haven't been to church in a long time, but last night the church I used to go to had a covered dish supper and at the end the Pastor put a video on that was about the cross. It also had two stories from two separate people and their struggles towards God. One of the stories was about the lead singer. She was on the edge of suicide, thus ending her and her unborn child's lives. God saved her, and her baby.
heard the "normal" version in 2010.. one of the first songs i heard from flyleaf.. just hearing this accoustic version a few days before 2016.... and i'm gonna be jumping in with a smile and tears roaming my face giving it all i can give! THE FEELS I GOT FROM THIS holy shit!.. amazing...
It's really nice to hear real artists who can still sing album quality! They actually have talent and don't rely on modern technology to make them sound good. God Bless you Lacey and you will be missed!
Lacey's not a trained, or a technical singer. She's damaged her voice severely throughout her career. She's not someone I'd take lessons from for technique. But damn it is she is an emotional singer. So raw and genuine. I don't doubt for a second that she believes and feels what she sings.
+Jonas Guimarães THANK YOU BRO! Lol, I feel like if you listen to this music you should be religious since it is religious music. god bless bro! Jesus is the one true!
Elijah Finamore I said "religious" because, in the comments, people aways write something like "I'm not religious but..." Then I wrote "Yeah, I'm religious, and..."
Singing is her art. A true artists transcends with their work. This woman transcendces when she sings. It's palpable that she's tapping into something other wordly when she sings. It's beautiful and inspirational to watch.
solisium There's an anointing in her from god. Anointing that breaks bondage and chases demons away. Praise and worship breaks every yolk. Hope that helps. And it's good that you like her voice! Her voice is from god and we all need him =) God bless you.
It amazes me that still after all these years, God speaks to my heart exactly what I need to hear through her songs. I feel the Holy Spirit like I've rarely felt Him, her songs are so prophetic and what is so cool is that I can actually recognize that because her music led me to Christ and I probably wouldn't still be alive today if it weren't for obedience to God in all things
+brian b Sorry man, no RU-vid debate for you today. But what I will say is, I challenge you to give talking to God a try, whenever you're sat on the toilet, for 30 days or so. Nothing fancy, just stuff like, "yo God, if you're there, I'd like to know". As archaic as the language may sound, the bible kinda says, "seek and you will find" and that is God talking about himself. That's his invitation to you. Not to become a religious nut. Just seek. Who cares what people think of it. No one knows what you do on the toilet. I sense you are young. Will you get to 70 and have not even tried, even in the privacy of your own toilet, to find out if a God a) exists and b) wants to know you if he does exist? Screw what people like Dawkins say. Try for yourself. See if anything changes.
Thats the beauty about being a Christian.... You don't have to have a reason why you feel sooo much for The Lord, Its just something that changes in a snap of a finger.
Well first I listened to so I thought, then broken wings and believe in dreams. It's been awhile for me and why am I crying. She's honestly my favorite female singer of all time.
What I love about this band (or what I loved since Lacey isn't in it anymore), was that even though the lyrics are about God it's still relatable to anything and even relatable toward people who don't believe in God because of how passionate the lyrics are and that's what I like to call good music and awesome talent.
I love this music. Flyleaf has such a special relationship with God.. she is a beautiful singer and I love how she captures emotion in her music.. she seems like she has gone through so much in her life.
I'm agnostic xD but you have a point Lol. the only reason I'm not religious is because I am lesbian, and while there are good hearted Christians out there, a majority of them are not supportive of the LGBT community. so, I believe that SOMETHING is out there... just don't know what exactly
Autumn Yates as a Christian your lifestyle is between you and God and no one else. Christianity isn't about the people, it's not a club, is a relationship between God and yourself.
Dude. Most of us probably saw the new lead singers acoustic cover of this on youtube. This video shows you why this song can't be passed along to someone else. Her emotions are perfect.
Cheese us twice, ,i never even knew that Flyleaf had any religious messages in their music, ,but they have great songs with Lacy's strong emotional ranging voice, ,i personally chose to hear them as life lessons and love songs, ,
It's just a love song, of you listen to the beginning it says my tongue dances behind my lips for you and how they whisper in her ear they love her. It's gotta be a love song. No offense to you
God, i search this video for years. I always find another acoustic performance of her band. I love RU-vid, i just feel so grateful now im gonna remember all the good days in my childhood. Like they passed in a moment.
The fact that she moves herself the same way in the music video- with passion- is one of the very reasons she a reasons she's my inspiration. Such passion and dedication c:
I first heard this song at the end of a lil peep song and I already loved the lyrics, but the thing is that I completely get that its about religion which I get is beautiful but lil peep was my idol like I said earlier I first heard it through him and if you don't know peep he was a singer/rapper anyways he passed in November 2017 and ever since then I've felt empty and like I didn't have a voice but listening to this song and thinking about him the lyrics just represent how I feel without him now that he's passed and I just truly love this song
I get that this is about religion but whenever I hear it, I think about loved ones that died like an ex of mine and how that felt. it's suffocatingly painful to lose someone like that, so feeling them all around you and then finally reaching for the light yourself when you're just done with life is what I've always got from this but I dunno could be a stupid opinion to 98% of you
It's not dumb, and it's never about religion. It's about a having a true relationship with God thru Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Most people get into in religion and never find God's true love..
