Lacey used to be Athiest. If anyone knows what its like to be one its her. She has experienced the love of God thats why she's here. To help people get throught their pain. Because she knows whats its like and she can relate. God bless you Flyleaf!
Around true believer, we don't care about the titles. Be yourself and we will talk about your faith when you want to, no other time. Welcome; and have a great day brother. C. Bierlein and rubthesleep
***** actually I'm catholic and in the bible it says to spread the word of the Lord in there time of need and when you don't believe that's when it's time to tell them about the Lord they need to see that knowing there's somewhere safe for us after we die is the best feeling in the world.
Juan Rodriguez But it shouldn't be forced on anyone. That is not how Christ would want us to proceed. Jesus says, in Matthews that if a person does not receive your peace; then let that peace return unto you. He was speaking about the gospel. We as Christians should always be diligent in the spreading of the gospel, but not by policing people in to being a Christian. For as the bibles, the Just shall live by faith. We cannot will anyone to him, it is a personal thing. We should stop trying to force the issue; that is all I am saying (in a nutshell).
I don't think Kristen is bad at all. She just has a different style in singing. I think people just got used to Lacey's style, which made it hard for people to accept the fact that she left the band.
My hands are searching for you My arms are outstretched towards you I feel you on my fingertips My tongue dances behind my lips for you This fire rising through my being Burning, I'm not used to seeing you I'm alive, I'm still alive I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing My hands float up above me And you whisper you love me And I begin to fade Into our secret place The music makes me sway The angels singing say we are alone with you I am alone, in the altar with you I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing And so I cry (holy) The light is white (holy) And I see you And I'm alive, I'm still alive, I'm still alive, I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing Take my hand I give it to you Now you owe me All I am You said you would never leave me I believe you I believe I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healed
I love when people are passionate about something, anything....especially music. When you can just see it's taken control over their body for however many minutes a song is.... and she's one of those people, one of those people that gives it all she has. Great acoustic performance, I believe when a song is performed acousitc it shows the real talent behind a song.
She sings with so much passion and emotion. the lyrics in her songs are phenomenal. she has something other christian singers just dont have.i love her and her music with all my heart.
I always stray away from Christ with temptation, and I hate it greatly. Please lord forgive me. Thank you for being my king and for your salvation. Bless all of us who feel my same pain to remember your sacrifice when we are tempted.
God speaks through this womans amazing voice to all of us!! The devil can tempt, but God can speak directly to us. You just have to know where to listen and what to listen for.
I'm not a Christian, not religious, yet admire Lacey Sturm without criticism, only admiration. Don't condemn someone due to what they believe. You will never find a soul whom you agree with everything. Listen to her words and feel the genuine power in her voice, you can relate or understand one way or the other...
Flyleaf was the first concert I've ever been to along with drowning pool in SA Tx sunkengarden, when I was about 17 I'm 30 now, will never forget that night. Loved flyleaf then and still now.
"It’s a song about meeting God. I remember looking at a bunch of people’s Myspace when I first saw Myspace and the ‘Who I’d Like To Meet’ the number one thing people picked was God. I think about that. I don’t know how many times I’ve experienced something where I felt like God showed up and saved me or loved me for no reason sometimes. That’s why I sing this song, I sing it to God. It’s really intimate as well, you can think about it as a relationship between two people in love, too. I never think about it that way, but what’s so cool about that is I think there’s parallels everywhere - in everything in life. I think that that parallel is something that God wants to communicate to us, that he gives us relationships like that, an intimacy like that." - Lacey Sturm
She sings with all her heart and her soul. She truly believe in what she is singing is more than just selling her voice!!!! Love this song but addicted to her voice 🎶
listening to this song live, rather it be acoustic or not. Never fails to bring me to tears.. Her voice is so majestic and you can feel each and every emotion she puts into it
Her voice is raw, she didn't go into vocal lessons for years like the other girl. This is her true voice, which is beautiful. Almost every band either change the name or find someone in the same vocal genre as them..Flyleaf is turning into pop with grunge effect on it..I just kinda said screw it and haven't listened to them in forever .-.
mhm I agree. Its just flyleaf was a huge inspiration I just wish that there could be something there that kinda sounds the same but instead it's turned into pop which is fine it's her band now it just kinda made me loose interest
***** anyone can learn learn to sing, but not everyone is going to be have a captivating voice like this girls. It's unique and powerful, I wish I could sing like her. I wouldn't care what the haters have to say, they can't sing so they can't judge.
How can a band remain the same with such a drastic change in vocals? It can't. The only reason flyleaf is still around is for monetary reasons. Capitalizing off of the brand Lacey created.
Brandon V Apparently you are not into Alice In Chains. Bands can change vocalists and still make great music. AIC's last 2 albums were highly respected and received plenty of recognition. Do I prefer Layne , of course, but will I gladly listen to their latest albums - no question. They were excellent. Great music is great music.
Derek Marcellus I agree with you. But the vocals are an intrinsic part of the way a band sounds. With different vocals it's a different sound, therefore not the same.
Flyleaf never lets you down, always as good or better than expected. The new album is amazing as well. " the chasm isnt fixed here , drink this water........."
Lacey is imcredible!!!! her voice is so sweet, but strong ! and she can do high notes too! she's mezzo so it's amazing(I'm Mezzo too je) ... wish sing amazing as her...
Wow...Awesome. she is as good live if not better coz u can make out her vocals more. I also love how passionate she is in expressing her love and faith. Very genuine....
