All of us Flyleaf fans need to remember to pray for them. If it were not for their ministry I would have given up on everything..God really used them to save my life
I t really touches me that this band uses it's great music style & sound to reach so many young ppl to send them the most important word ever! I'm really a big fan of their music & message they send. God is the answer to anything & everything! I am proof cuz I'm still alive from a miracle recovery of a car wreck!! Thanks!
OMG When Lacey said: "if we're not doing it for God, we're not gonna do it" and "let`s do it for God"... these two parts almost bring me to tears.. Flyleaf; keep rocking for the Lord! And helping people like me to hold on
wow that's crazy how they thought they were done! I would've freaked out! They are doing this for God and they show it in their songs and show their hearts. I love Flyleaf I wanna meet them in person one day! God bless.
Im glad they didnt break up they make great music and are cool down to earth people. I have to say thanks to Flyleaf because after watching the world vison video they did in 2008 ive been donating ever since.
Flyleaf, don't ever ever break up. It was just a spirit of the Devil trying to come against you all because you all are doing a wonderful things for God through your msuic. Keep on keeping on. Love your music by the way!
WOW. i had read "media" that said even they didnt call themselves a christian band but i think that same media ppl need to see this interview and get it straight. What a statement: if we're not doing this for God then its over...and then to actually live it. That is an amazing thing to see. This band is awesome!
This music has helped me through alot like when I was raped and I felt bad for all my bad thoughts about myself. I thought I was going to kill myself and all this bad stuff and I had to see the guy every day for four years straight!! And now I am one of the happiest people in the World thanks to this band right here Love you guys xoxo!!! :)
Flyleaf was never about following religious rules out of fear of being punished. That person's commentary was totally fabricated. The message of Memento Mori is actually about remembering your mortality so that you can appreciate life.
It doesnt matter if God is listening to their music or not its about helping people around the world through their music Flyleaf is expressing their music through God & Christianity. They are doing it for God as Christians to help believers stay strong and encourage people to find better paths than the wrong ones. She wanted to quit because the whole band was united for their God their reason their purpose If you believed in a cause and people believed it was for something else youd be upset too
i've gotten so much feed back from that comment that God exists. some of it made me happy, but some things people said tore me apart. i had no idea who they were or what they had been through, but i cried for them. it was so sad to find that the world is such a sad place, putting people through things that are so terrible they would blame God for their troubles... it makes me want to remove it. i have enough sadness in my life... even if i can help others is it worth it?
@rodcecilia4 that's right. actually in the book of Ecclesiastes, there's already a threat about atheism 'everything is meaningless, chasing after the wind' however, the author ended it right. ''Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him-for this is his lot.'' really love the book Ecclesiastes
how did I not know this? that would totally have sucked if they had broken up! Anyway, I hope Lacey enjoys her time off with her family, and hopefully they can put out another album and start touring again soon too!
I have so much respect for her. People ignore any religious factors. Completely take that out of the equation. Listen to how much she appreciates her fans. She kept going for them. Thats dedication, loyalty, something not commonly expressed from some musical artists these days.
@i1100a (Continued) the OT spoke of the nephillim, giants that died in the great flood, in modern times archeologists have discovered massive human-like skeletal structures found in the mud (as though they were buried in a flood), it predicted the collapse of the WTC in the book of Revelations...the list goes on and on.
you guys rock, when you came to ohio for the ALIVE FEST you rocked, don't ever break up!!!! i love and am obssesed (cant spell worth crap so idk if thats right) the song "i'm so sick"!!!!!!!!
@zekthedeadcow Lacey Nicole was moved by the love of God. God was reaching out to her in the love that He loved her first. Like her husband. he knew what choices should would make. It was a last ditch effort to save her life.
@liverp13 "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?" Epicurus
I'm glad they didn't break up. Jesus brought them together for a reason. Flyleaf is one of my top three most listened to bands. Third Day and Fireflight are the other two. Their music comes from hearts sold out to Jesus. All three have a way of explaining the human condition and pointing us towards the only Healer we need, Jesus the Christ. Believers will have storming moments in their journey and only one person can calm the rough seas. Jesus the Redeemer.
@bhsmalecolorguard Here's the thing. As a "true" Christian... One would not teach, nor preach hate. When following the "true" teachings of Christ, one would see that there are but a few simple rules to live by. They are; Love one another, as He loves you. Treat one another as you would have any other treat you. The Bible shows this. Although the messege is hidden well within the text. One needs to really read through, and look between the lines to understand the true message.
@trishi12 It's not supposed to be morbid, it's saying that, you could die at any moment so you should live your life to the fullest. It's a very Christian perspective on life, that you could die at any moment, but there's also a relief there because you'll forever be with your Creator.
@gorboy God is pure, He is love, He is truth. He only created the possibility of evil through the gift of free will. Humans make their choices. Choose life, choose God.
@i1100a i'v read that those who have strongest faith are the angels because they dont reason out, they just do what they have to do, no questions...not saying that we have to be angels because that's impossible. just wanted to share
@Gothi30 I agree. But it does matter wether they're doing it for God or not. You may not believe in it. But they obviously do. And it matters a lot wether or not they've devoted their lives to this for God, or for personal gain.
@StiffmeisterOfficial If you dont like Flyleaf why comment? Her voice may not be great but her lyrics, and the emotion she shows is greater than any voice.
@Gliebhard Many believers do. You must remember people who believe are still human and prone to making mistakes. If one says they follow Jesus and behave consistently as if they don't then probably they don't. People need to focus on Jesus and let Him help them on the narrow path. Being a believer is a time of growing and maturing in faith in Christ. Ever met a new born baby who could walk and talk? I haven't. Same for believers. It's Jesus we follow not someone's interpretation of how we should
God this god that god god god god. never putting any emphasis on themselves and slaving their musical direction to a blind deity that doesnt exist. No wonder they're still virtually unheard of.
The band is actually starting their own charity called the Flyleaf Foundation, where they'll be reaching out and giving to those in need. They're working with charitable organizations like Samaritan's Purse and World Vision all the time. Not that anything really needs to be justified to people on YT that have no idea what they're talking about. This band is genuinely full of good people. They're not in people's faces all the time about their faith. They're respectful. Try it sometime!
@AkaiVash I'm pretty sure she means that the messages of her songs will honor God with either meaning or the words said. honoring God doesn't mean doing the kow tow and sacrificing fun it means mostly that you make sure what you say is nonoffensive, like don't curse makeing sure that your message is clean. and actually like with switchfoot the band members are christian the band is not explicitly christian. Christianity acts more like a censor than anything else.
I have nothing against christians, I have christian friends. But when they act like you it really grinds my gears >.> I can live my life perfectly happy and with good values without god. Why should i not be allowed to listen to christian music? And the meanings aren't completely about god. Lacey has said herself that they are also about living through the hard times and finding the good in the world and being all that you can be. I always try to do that, and their music helps me to so who cares
I love the energy of this band. And although MY religion is........(yeah you dont NEED to know), I think you can relate these songs, these lyrics to anything. Be it god, if you believe in such, philosophy, or just life. All lyrics connotations are subjective to whats going on in the listeners life. A person will find god only if they want to. No amount of pushing will help. Kudos to you all who believe in what you do, but dont be a religion peddler. Please. It deters people more than anything.
@FoN2FoN And. They wanted to start out as a Christian band, but people who aren't christian started liking her music also so they can't not by christian because people want them to. No. and Christians can not keep there faith personal. God is there only love. All they care about.
@gorboy Love is not worthless without hate, it is possible to know love without hate. God never wanted hate in this world. But when Satan tricked Adam and Eve into disobeying God, that brought sin into the world, and thus brought hate. Hate exists through Satan and sin, not through God.
All to Jesus. 1 Corinthians 8:6 (Amplified Bible) 6Yet for us there is [only] one God, the Father, Who is the Source of all things and for Whom we [have life], and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through and by Whom are all things and through and by Whom we [ourselves exist
@MrRiahRiah i don't listen to them often however i know of them, but i don't really care i did not know they were a christian band what annoys me is the constant trend of the US media to move to religion i stumbled of this an i was surprised i say: keep you faith personal
@aniflikgirl Of course a person like you you assumes they don't give to cherities and churches. And truth be told they do have to live and pay their managers and lawyers and all that. Honestly, at the end of the day after doing a tour, they don't really take all that much money home with them. Tours usually are done to pay for the production of an album and advertizing. But these guys have a message, content changes everything.
@Jozen890 I am an athiest and I take absolutely no offense to this. I respect Lacey and the rest of Flyleaf for holding their faith and if it's what keeps this band together than so be it [I'm sorry if this came off as an attack, it isn't]:)
@SynthetiqueTea That's what people like him do. They believe they are right and NO one else is. People are far too obsessed with the idea of Flyleaf being a damn religious band and in actuality, they aren't. That came from Lacy herself. So if anyone says I'm wrong well they are pretty much saying she is wrong. People just can't enjoy the music, they have to find every little religious meaning and destroy the songs just because they HAVE to impose their damn faith on everyone. Its sad.
