The stickers without a cut out for the switch are for if you want to remove switches, for instance if you don't use the switch only the dial, take the switches out to make the transmitter more sleek, less likely to snag and break a switch. That way later if you want to use the switch, they are not broken.

glad u did the flysky version. and i agree thats where all the beginners start and you did a good job of being considerate to those who use this affordable radio. not all beginners will end up with the top brands bec of better real life priorities and FPV is just one of the hobbies people try their skill on.

Yay thank you Andy! I'm just getting into the hobby and ordered an i6x. I bought the qx 95 because of your videos (and a few others as well). I can't wait to fly it around with the Flysky. I have the older FSi6 transmitter paired with FSiA6B receiver and I cannot fault it, I've done the 10 channel firmware update so I can have flight modes on one switch arming on another and air mode on another. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Nice review Andy

whoo, old skool Andy, getting one of these radio's for Christmas, mainly because my deal with my mate mechanic (I build him a quad, he fixes my car at cost) is getting difficult as he brought a mavik, and a spark. He starting to feel restricted and I gave him my old Diatone? 3" frame in the spring to get him back in the real world. He's got an old turnigy radio running DSM2, and I just can't get the receivers to work anymore (they can't all be broken!) anyway, I'll give him the fs i6, so at least I can get him back in the air, without every move he makes been sent back to DJI. And race him. I also don't really need anything realistic for Christmas! Came here for a bit of advice on what I was in for, and I have to say you've chilled out a lot since this review, i'll have to watch it again at half speed, or with less beer in me. I'm sure I speak for many when I say your reviews are always useful and honest and I'd like to thank you for all your hard work, I've never given you a bean, but you still help me out at least once a month. Maybe time to contribute. This review was a bit of a shock, as I'm used to your confident and relaxed style of more recent stuff, Again Andy, thanks and merry Christmas.

well, I must say that, as an ex aerobatic RC pilot (AMA Class D pattern & FAI pattern) I was impressed with your aircraft flight skills. I recently acquired a Flysky TX (along with the Ideafly 210) via a YT channel "give away contest". Looks like the adapter cable and simulator would be fun. It's been many DECADES since I flew RC pattern aircraft .. perhaps before you were born, but I think I could still manage a bit of fun. Used to fly Mode 1 for aerobatics, but now my TXs (Flysky & Taranis) are both setup for Mode 2, so there would be some 'retraining" involved. I'll have to see if BG offers that setup via their US warehouse. Cheers.

Hello Andy: Have a question for you that you may help me with???? I'm new to fpv and my wife surprised me with a Eachine Wizard X220 FPV Racer Blheli_S F3 6DOF 5.8G 48CH 200MW 700TVL Camera w/ FlySky I6 RTF and of course there are no instructions that came with it and I have no idea how all this is supposed to work. Now I got to the point where I got the fpv and my googles to work and I was able to pair the receiver with the drone but I can't get the motors to start. So I did some more research on you tube and down loaded Beta Flight and connected the drone with my computer to check out the operation. Well when I tabbed down to the receiver tab and it opened there is no info. According to other posts there are different color horozonal bars that show up to correspond with the different radio controls and would move when you would move each control. Well on my system there are no color bar and no movement when moving the controls. I can't find any instruction on how to go about checking what would cause this problem? So is there any instruction you could give me on how to go about and what to check so I can make the controls work, I think if I can figure this problem out this will fix the problem of the motors not wanting to ture on?. I hope I explained and made sense on my problem. Thanks for your help I watch your channel all the time and have learned a lot so thanks again. John

when I connect my motor to receiver, the max speed of motor is reached when the throttle stick reaches 50percent. how should I set up my transmitter. fs i6x is my transmitter

This FS-I6X has the ability to transmit 10 channels. You have to enable it in the controller though using menu>system>Aux Switches. You then can turn on all switches and set the channels to 10

Nice 3D skills :-) I know what you mean about planes. I can hang 10 quads on a wall where I previously have one plane. But it's so nice when you do get out and fly LOS.

So I used this controller with the cable that comes with it (4:05) in a quite old and bad laptop that runs in some random Android operative system (I know that's strange...) and I had no problems whatsoever. I was using the free version of FPV Freerider, which I downloaded from the PlayStore ( yes, the Play Store in a laptop). I was happy. But a few days later I couldn't use that laptop anymore, and when I tried to play the simulator on my real computer (which runs in Windows 10), I couldn't calibrate the controller. The PC recognizes the joysticks, and when I go to the game devices settings, I'm able to calibrate it perfectly. But still, when I try to do it in the simulator, the bars (which show the position of the sticks and all the info that the controller gives to the PC) are all messed up and it just doesn't calibrate correctly. I tried the same thing in three more computers (all running in different versions of Windows), just to verify it wasn't my computer's fault, and it didn't work either... I'm reluctant to buy this new cable (4:17) since the old one (4:05) that comes with the controller has once worked perfectly, showing that the problem is not coming from that reason. Does anyone know something that could help me? I would really appreciate it.

I'm using this receiver with FS-I6 (10ch modded) and everything seems fine I even get battery voltage on the FS-I6 but when I set the alarm on the transmitter RX Battery that I have 4 cells, Low = 13.9V Alarm= 14.0V, High=16.4V (27:39) even when my battery is 15.2 I get the alarm still buzzing. I have to change to 1 cell lipo then it stops. Any help?

You can have the same functions on the i6 with a firmware upgrade (with the exception of adding another 3 position switch... but do you really need two? :) )

Andy, I currently have the FS-i6X and I have the ARF Wizard on order. I see that you had to add a set of male pins from another flight controller in order to connect the flight controller wire to the i-Bus wire on the X6B receiver. Will I need to get one of these male pins in order to connect the two together? Thanks

If anybody say Taranis is an expensive radio should check out futaba graupner and other high end radios. Taranis is a cheap but versatile radio.

Being interested in this transmitter myself I am looking for videos discussing it. One thing that caught my attention was you said to activate all 10 channels you have to "hack the firmware". Are you sure about that? At least the current version of firmware as of this post its there already however it defaults to 6 and you have to enable the other 4 channels and set them to the IO you want (switches/dials).

I have not tried it myself as when the goggles are on you cant read the tx display anyway but yes just the red and black to your positive and negative of your battery or pdb

yes thats what i do just name the models on a different memory and load them up when i want to. it will keep the bins

Help Andy. I've bought this to practice on simulators. I bought the special USB cable but can't get any response on either my Win 10 laptop or my Mac. I've searched for help but can't find any solution. According to your vid you just plugged it in and it worked.

a usb cable wont work, that is for flashing the firmware only you need to buy the 22 in one simulator dongle cheers

Do you have any experience with Flysky FS-i6S? Yesterday I almost bought an FS-i6, then I found the i6s which looks much, much more better to me. Now I just don't know if it is as good as the i6...

the i6s does not have the old flysky protocol so it wont work with the qx bind and flys. something to consider

Brother I need help to control my drone even binding with my transmitter I am not able to control it.. I am getting no idea on it.. all the settings or perfect on my flight control and on transmitter still my receivers not responding. Please help me out bro..

a friend of mine is having issues with getting the roll input to work for his sim. do you have to do something to have windows see it.

5:01 what is the 3-pin male-to-male adapter called? i can't seem to find them anywhere. Would it be ok to cut the connectors off and solder the wires?
