Flysky PL18 EV Dual Receivers or Dual Model Setup

I've heard lot's of good words about this radio from people who have tried it, and got years of experiences with different radios and brands. Very easy to set up, and with 3D sticks included at a reasonable price. As of August 2021 a small percentage of the first batch of radios have issues with the thouch screen not working properly. I early in summer heard rumors about it some mentioning it on a forum. Now my friend got one of those with default screen in the summer. He contacted the seller at aliexpress, and they sent a new screen right away. However it was not just to hook up the new screen like that, at first it didn't work. My friend got in direct thouch with Flysky and they intstructed in detail how to hook up and get the new screen running. They were well aware of this issue happened to some of these radios. Hopefully and likely they will /have sorted it out now. Will advice for anyone ordering in 2021 to ask the seller turn the radio on and test the screen before shipping, just in case. That said, it is not a big issue as I understand it, just a small percentage.

This is brilliant. I'm not an RC'er yet, because I live in an apartment in a city and my backyard is small and I share it with 5 other people, but in a few years I will move outside the city and I'll start with this awesome hobby. And I've been thinking about this; if I'm playing around with a tipper truck and an excavator would I need two highly expensive controllers and switch between them? This answered my question. It's a great thing with the possibility to have a sperate receiver in both the truck and trailer, I know several friends in the hobby using this setup at some more advanced models. Personally I prefer going for the new Beier trailer module with outout for 4 servos/ESC in addition to all the lights by IR connection (or bluetooth). One can control servos and ESC with the seperate receiver in the trailer, but one also need to transfere the light signals, which can't be done with the receiver, so the Beier module will be a 2 in 1 I guess. I see a good use for 2 receivers in a advanced crane truck, to get enough channels; one for the standard motor control, steering, lights and such, and no 2 for operating the hydraulics/crane

Hi there, for the first thing, there are more radios, which can do dual receivers and multi modell switch by standard setup. For example look for the brixl, scaleart, servonaut or blauzahn radio. All these are able to do it with more then just 10 oder 12 channels. For what are U need more Channels? 1. Sterring, 2. Speed, 3 Gearshift, 4-7 differential looks (front, middle, 2 rear axels, 8. hydraulik pump, 9&10 hydraulik servos for tipper functions. 11. sound (maybe up to 3 for different horn, noises and so on) 12. Light (using kingbus. or up to 6 channels otherwise.) 13. trailer stands, 14 trailer hydraulik pump, 15 hydraulic valve etc... Even then thx for the review and the hints for do it with the flysky, which is much cheaper, the same as the receivers.

Amazing radio. Now if I could setup my Tamiya king hauler with mfc, my hydraulic ramp trailer with lights and my hydraulic Huina excavator all with the same radio without having to turn off the truck and trailer to use the excavator....

Hello, thanks for the videos. I wonder if this radio can handle this: I want a thought to run according to the position of the stick. To the front it goes forward. To the front left it turn to the left and so on. So if you put the stick bottom left, the tank will revers to the left and vice versa. Hope you can help me. Thanks for a great channel.

Great tip! I'm doing the same thing with Radio: Spektrum DX8e Receivers: one in each vehicle; AR620 DSMX 6-channel Sport I can drive two trucks at once. One on the right stick & one on the left stick. Check out videos # 4, 5 & 10 on my channel. 00

Hey Bob, the double receiver is a duplication of channels? Like “ two channel 1s”,” two channels 2s” etc.. or can it be used to add channels, like with a 8 channels receiver and a 12 channels receiver can I have 20 separated channels?

Bob, Is it possible to bind 3 receivers to use if to have 2 different trailers (flatbed and tanker)? Of coarse you would only be using 2 receivers at a time.

Hello I have now a Taranis-E X9E and if this problem I have now. Will be solved with the PL18 EV I will order that radio. Can you please make a video on the mixer on PL18 EV for track vehicle. So they turn in the direction you have the stick. I my radio the tank turns and drive right in all directions except when I go back and want to turn left. (Stick down to the Left.) The tank is turning backwards to the right. And the opposite when I try to go back and turn right. (Stick down to the Right.) The tank is turning backwards to the right.
