Thanks Ali for the info and for taking the time to respond , thanks for being loyal to your followers , keep up the informative videos you keep us up in the sky! Do you ever fly fixed wing planes ✈️??
I do love a good airwolf. Once upon a time someone had a rotor speed tied sound and light module... I wish I could find that these days. REAL tempted to pick one of those up since it's got all the GPS locking these days.
That really is a fantastic looking RC Helicopter. I have the FlyWing 450 V3 and I really like that helicopter, but I'm looking to get this as a next helicopter as I like the scale details.
Sure thing, fuselage has really improved and the new FW450 V3 too has improved in flight performance. use our links to order please. FW450 V3: bit.ly/3YT8qeF Airwolf Shell: bit.ly/3kinLXt
Hi ali. I have been flyjng my fw for 6 months. Here’s what i love about it 1. Flight modes 2. Long flight time 3. Parts are cheap and always available 4. Reliable so far What i wish flywing will improve: 1. Takeoff speed is too fast 2. Scale fuselage does not cover the whole tail 3. No low voltage warning Also, i wish flywing will make a 500-600 size version of this. I can put an h1 on a roban 600 but the flight time is too short. Please send my feed backs to flywing and thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video. I needed to reword the comment. The things that are not scale are the white belly which is not close to accurate if you look at photos of the full size helicopter. The white color should not reach to the nose wheel. It should start almost behind the side door. Tail fin should be about twice as tall at the top as it is at the bottom and should be white at the bottom. That gives it the shark look. Tail blades should be white with red stripes. Tail boom should go all the way to the rear of the tail fin. Actually the tail rotor should be on the left side and main blades should turn counterclockwise like the Esky 300 V2 which works great. I never like those noisy separate tail motors. A little window tint would help and a retract option would be nice. I think what keeps me from buying it is the white belly being so far off and that tail fin being the wrong shape and color. I can over look the main blades and tail rotor. What I like about the Esky 300 V2 is that it is not scale but almost looks better than Airwolf. Not the case here because it looks scale other than a few things that need attention. Maybe they will get it right.
Flywing told me they will release another Airwolf this year after a lot of testing. It will use 550mm blades. I notice some other companies have made scale Airwolf bodies that look just like Airwolf. Maybe they can go by some of those. I think Funkey makes one that looks pretty good.@@alishanmao
Just got mine last week. Unfortunately it arrived with cosmetic damage to its fuselage. I am awaiting a response from the seller before my maiden flight in case I need o send it back. Thank you so much for all the videos and information you have put out about these helicopters!
Sorry to hear that, my Huey UH1 fuselag got damaged badly during shipment to UAE as well. i had to glue it. it flies still but too many funny noises coming from inside
Thanks for another great video on the Flywing family. You did a great job illustrating the improvements on the Airwolf. Please, with all your Flywing videos, start emphasizing AGAIN the most impressive attribute of the v.2.0 software update: ALTITUDE RECOVERY! This is by far the most revolutionary feature of all the great attributes the 450 series offers. Thanks, “Huey” Steve Phoenix
I've had mine for about 6 weeks now. Great fun after leaving the hobby for 30 years. The new tech has made it possible to re-enter without fear of crashing hopelessly. One thing that annoys me is the noise from the tail rotor. I've seen some posts for other models about switching the motor to the opposite side and reversing the prop direction. Funny thing is the FW450 tail arm seems to click in no matter which way you turn it so that would effectively do the same thing...if the centre pin was the feedback and not one of the power pins. Not keen to test the theory and blow a control unit. What about just fitting a larger tail prop? Wonder if the noise would lessen and if the control unit would compensate for the different size.
yes buddy get a bigger tail rotor will reduce the noise. flywing has a bigger tail prop for it. and yes tech now make people enjoy this hobby, before people could only dream to own and fly rc helicopters but now anyone can fly and enjoy it.
Hi Ali , I’ve just ordered the 450 Airwolf from FLISHRC, the heli comes with 325mm main rotor blades , can I run it with 360mm blades like the bell 206 like the Flywing blades you have on your video , or will it mean changing rotor head speeds etc from the FLISHRC factory settings as they pre fly it first before dispatch? They would be sending it with 325mm blades ! Thanks for your time and response 🙏
Hello once again Ali, I always enjoy your videos!! I now have two flying helicopters because of you!!! You said I can purchase the Airwolf, and it will fit easy right on my 3.0 heli. We'll the Airwolf is beautiful, but I really like the UH-1 Hugey..... Is the Hugey fusalage also available from someplace? The ready to fly Hugie looks like it has a very extra tall rotor head? Will the V 3.0 even fit into a Hugie fusalage?
Hi nice to meetu u. Just to clarify ur throttle setting 85% (previous video), in this video u mention 80%, mean new setting for this upgrade canopy? How about tail setting? Possible to setting through remote wthout pc?
Hi Ali, why don't you insert the battery completely into its housing? I see that it is moved towards the nose of the helicopter. Did you do this to balance the helicopter?
Hi Mr. Alishanmao, I have a FW450L version 3 Airwolf. I've been flying this few times. Lately the GPS stays green and it's not unlocking, can't make the rotor run. What is the problem. Does it need calibration? Pls help me
@@alishanmao I ordered both 450 and 470 size. I think they'll work. By the way, when is that huge Flywing Apache coming out? I told the wife the day that comes out, I'm buying it. Oh, and aren't you 3D printing an Apache for the FW450 v3? If so, will you be sharing the file? I hope so. Peace brother.
@@RC_Cowboy Well the best practice is not to buy a new item or model as soon as its released. wait it out for at least 3 months for 2nd or 3rd production, thats where all the issues and glitches are fixed those people report from first and 2nd batches. rest is all your decision bud. fuselage for FW450 V3 is still in the plans. i need to improve my design skills before i can actually design such detailed model. so it may take time. I am trying to setup my 3d printing business here in UAE. and hoping that a good 3d designer can join me as a team, also looking for small investors and partners. If this can be done, i will fill the market with every helicopter fuselage for Flywing helicopters that people desire and chinese companies do not make it :)
Ali, i noticed you did a slow takeoff then you flew GPS hold. Did you do the slow take off in 3G mode then switch in air to GPS? Takeoff in GPS and ATT modes are jump up take offs. Pity Flywing doesn't advertise all these flight modes too. Only you.
@@alishanmao well there is a v2.5 being sold with the fuselage on it. Some youTubers say they built a version 3 from buying the 450 and the fuselage separate. I was wondering what the difference was.
Dear Ali, feel you very happy in the desert with beautiful helicopter, but the radio control still ugly and very old fashsioned , remind Flywing to improve it.
Looks as bad as the Walkera 5 bladed crap tbh, if your going to make an Airwolf heli at least get the basics right. Looks like it flies well but thats expected given the flight controller and GPS lol Nice vid Ali and for those not bothered it looks like it flies nicely, but ill pass, Esky tried the same crap with their micros and they looked terrible too. For the money i expect better.
I'm not a fan of GPS controlled helicopters. Press a button and watch the helicopter fly an figure 8 🙈 It's a shame, it has nothing to do with pitch-controlled helicopters anymore. Nice Design.
If you talk to beginners who can now fly helicopters thanks to these GPS systems, and see their happiness, their smiles, their satisfaction, you won't say that. but if you want to fly with full control, there is a 3D mode for you. so you can satisfy your total control needs of RC Helicopters.
