@@HolaACchillin Yeah. The price point was so close to the caddx vista version. For me though it was the best choice. No problem losing osd and a nice fpv feed. People will still build it with the CNC madness frame kit and Tarsier .

Thanks Diego! Can't complain about that Ratel fpv feed or the dvr! I'm just looking to put a better 20x20 vtx in. I'm getting 10 minutes on an 850mah on average.

I think the strong cross wind was the biggest factor for how the quad swayed in the maiden clip. It is a light 4 inch quad, not the best performer in the wind. I didn't notice vibes but Prop balance wasn't something I considered. I'll look into checking it and putting a fresh set that is balanced next run. It generally performs well with a 850mah 4s, even more agile on a 750 or 650 mah 4s all three of these batterys keep it under 250g weight. I would run the 850mah if you plan to go out over a mile. In the track section in the end of the video It was weighed down with a heavy battery. How do I feel about the quad? It's a micro, It's long range, it's something less intrusive than my other range quads. I like it. I may end up changing the gps and the vtx out though. Thanks for your interest! The caddx can fit. You may have to get the longer ribbon/coax cable that they make for it though.

I haven't tried that yet. Good idea. I'll have to give it s shot next time it's windy. I did fly a few times when it wasn't windy and there was no need for stabilization. I'll post examples in a new video soon!

Thanks! I didn't colorgrade it so people can judge the results from the tarsier version for themselves. As this is not the DJI Vista version I am using analog goggles and the recording is from the dvr of the Tarsier camera.

At the moment I'm running stock. It has the Flywoo Goku 625 vtx. Power settings are: 25/50/100/200/450mW. From my intial test and what others are reporting at 450mw this should get you out over a mile depending on the noise floor. Even Dave C was noting that changing out the vtx would be optimal for true long range distances. I really like the custom tube the Atomic antenna ships with. It has great functionality keeping the antenna protected and at a nice distance from everything however in the homebrew versions before this was released builders were getting good results using different antennas. It's worth researching.

Seems like you could do that. I'm not sure about the exact fit. Did you try mounting the gps on top to keep it away from the dvr board?

@@meta4FPV I'm still waiting on my Explorer to ship, but I have tried this with other 3 inch builds and is currently the only way I can keep a few in flight. To begin flying, on every pack I also have to power down the Tarsier till the GPS gets 7-8 satellites between packs.... kinda sucks and never really reliable. Just wanted some confirmation that the Hybrid will definitely fit because I could still cancel.

Is it a Tarsier V2? You will have to remount the dvr stack in the back but it's possible.

I do notice a difference using a 4s 850 75c vs a 4s 650. I think the wind was the biggest factor in the struggle on this flight though. I actually plan on trying an Auline 4s 2000mah lion soon. I was quick on the trigger & I recieved the quad in two days after ordering it about a week ago.

@@robertoerquiaga2872 There are two cameras in the tarsier version one is for fpv and one for the HD recording feed. The fpv camera is actually a ratel and yes it is analog. Don't confuse this with the other analog explorer as the difference in the fpv feed is like night and day in my opinion.
