Welcome to episode 3 of my FM24 Saving Southend story. We begin our one club story with Southend United in non-league. We have a points deduction, transfer embargo and a threadbare squad, but can we stay up in our first season before heading on a road to glory? In episode 3, we head to Halifax Town in a dramatic game after some huge board takeover news!

i have had a goal keeper go off with a broken finger, then a bruised wrist after that i learned to put a keeper on the bench, i like that keepers now get injured but it does seem to happen a little to much so may need tweaking, again tho i love the content keep up the fantastic videos always enjoy watching both series on the daily

Thanks for the kind words. It seems they've acknowledged that it's a little too frequent now, though I'm with you in being glad it's in the game. My opponents have probably had it more than me across all saves, but they're smart enough to have a sub GK! 😂

I've had a couple goalkeeper injuries already, definitely seems to be a big change as I never had them in 23

It's this year's equivalent of the red card curse, at least until they presumably patch it on full release day! 😂

Doing a Southend save also, as it’s my local team. Ndi Broken leg, David Martin dislocated shoulder from pre season to 3 games in 😂😂

It's mad isn't it. Ndi has been a walking injury crisis here. Thankfully, it's all calmed down a little bit since the recent update. 👍

there definitely has been a massive increase in gk injuries looking around social media, it's incredibly annoying lol

You need a sub keeper this year, in just a few days playing FM24 I’ve had 3 keeper injuries… 1 for 6-8 months and then 2 for 2-4 weeks

The problem here until David Martin arrives is that I haven't got one that's any better than my outfield players!😂

bit of chaos, why not. I always have a keeper on the bench but it does seem a bug during the beta with the frequency

I so far haven't had a GK injury, but during a Irish First division game against Antholine Town, their keeper broke his arm during a dive

GK injury frequency has definitely been messed with by SI. Wish they'd also fix DoF to sign young players for youth teams when you set responsibility for DoF to sign players. Also, scouting is still awful

I don't mind the signing of young players, just not as a deadline day priority. The GK thing is obviously a glitch, but I'd say scouting is much improved. My experience so far is generally pretty good for recruitment.🤞

Keeper thing seems to be in the Beta, sorry early release. If it is something that needs a fix, will it carry onto saves that have been started, or will this save file forever have the keeper issue?

Once those sort of things are fixed in patches, they'll change in your existing save too. It's only normally data file based stuff that doesn't carry in old saves, rather than technical or algorithm stuff. 👍

If I do a South team it'll have to be Boreham Wood now. I watch them multiple times a year and their relegation has completely thrown my FM25 plans! 😂

I would like to do the same but can't because it's not coming out on Amazon fire so. I have to do a create Southend in league 2 on fc24 with all random names

Haha I don't think that's possible, unfortunately. Two half an hour videos a day that need to be recorded, edited and FM played between to get to recording points. A 2 hour live stream and a day job too, I don't think I'd see daylight! 😂
