Forza uses an outdated model witch its not supricing because thats the case for many cars

FM8 is not even trying... "from the ground up" in my ... :) GT7 deserves all the praise it gets.

I’m a forza fanboy but it’s not a comparison anymore. The models in forza are so bad. At least by todays standard, considering they still use some 2005 models in a 2023 game. This is one of the better models from forza. Most of the 2000’s Japanese cars have awful jagged edges and just do not look right. (FM1 or fm2 models I assume)

Gran Turismo 7 is far more better

That's because the cars are so powerful in forza, that all the GPUs and CPUs get taken up by raw HP, and there's not as much left over for Graphics

While the Forza model doesn't look bad, it's still pretty dated even by 2020s standards. All they did is just increasing the polycount and call it a day rather than redoing it from scratch. It's no surprise that the Gran Turismo model has more depth by comparison, despite what the fanboys say otherwise.

In Gran Turismo the interior looks so good it invites me through the screen. It makes me wanna sit, get all comfy, and just relax enjoying it. n Forza the interior is, umm... Well, it's there, no doubt.

Forza model is funny 😂

Only thing Forza has on GranTurismo is the metalflake on the paint and the orange peel look on clearcoat. It's annoyed me since FM1 though that every single bulb-style headlight/taillight looks so awful. The textures and everything about them are so wrong.

Most of Forza's models are from older titles like FM4. This is also the case with FH5.

0:43 I completely forgot how gorgeous these car models were in gt7. I never took the time to closely inspect these car models while playing, but holy moly did this shot put a smile on my face.

UPD: Seeing how @2:22 the car's roof shadow is as crisp as its tires' shadows in Forza makes me want to go to devs office, and spit at their door because what is this hideous crap? It might sound like I'm nitpicking, but heck no, no I'm not, it's BLOODY 2024 and this kinda shadow filtering is atrocious and should not be the norm in a game with supposed 'realistic' visuals devs brag so much about, and it's not even a cross-gen game like GT7 is, good god! In a game with stylized looks & visuals - sure, of course, why not. But in a Forza game (especially when FH5 does have soft shadows WITHOUT RT - the soft shadows are not raytraced there, can you fckn believe it?!) - again, in a FORZA game this is just unacceptable, and I will always point it out when someone says how quote-unquote 'beautiful' FM23 truly is. No, it's not. FM23 is 'decent' at best, and 'an inconsistent piece of shtick' mostly, even if we're talking visuals only. So much for BFTGU bs.

I don't understand how they thought they'd get away with their PR "built from the ground up" spiel. Knowing that since Digital Foundry that people will take screen capture and zoom in to check out the details. Were they expecting the lunatics to run the asylum forever? The headlamp are incorrect as the bulb is actually installed in the bottom of the housing and not from the back, even the Forza vista model is incorrect. What's strange this literally means this model data was not accurate to begin with. They never should have used that stupid tag line and said what was actually true, newer physics engine perhaps but the rest looks like it came from previous titles as far back as Forza 6. There's no reason for a studio under a huge publisher to phone in the work, unacceptable.

I don't think forza is gonna change, they had their chance and then they release the built from the ground down game, I really hoped they do but now all hope is lost and wont expect anything from them ever again, i mean why would they spend money and update their assets, their player base is mostly kids or casual non car guys, i dont think they'll notice how deformed many car models are

i knew it. i hated how R34 looks on forza it looks like a bootleg of itself. the rear end looks so skinny and the stock wheels size and fitment are just wrong. i wish i dont have to buy a playstation just to get this experience :(

Forza 6 and 7 gave me NOTHING near to the experience with Gran Turismo. I am totally a Xbox person now, but Forza does not compare with Gran Turismo. Gran Turismo you must REALLY work to afford a better car or even do upgrades. Forza 7... 3rd race... and I win so much money... that I can buy a Nissan GTR, customize it and fully upgrade it. WHAT A MESS. I could feel the difference in the different cars when "driving" them. Forza 6 and 7... only the looks of the car changes. Then you have the absolutely insane settings for Forza. Either everything gets done for you... Or the car is totally unplayable. Sorry. I love XBOX... but Sony has Gran Turismo which I miss dearly. The rest... XBOX all the way.

First year playing sim racing and Forza and ACC AND AC are the only ones I play at the moment cause I don’t have a ps. Never tried gran Torismo now I wanna try it to see what it is I missing in Forza. And is ACC AND AC better then GT?

This right here is why I'm glad to own both consoles, I can swap between the two whenever there's a major shortcoming on another (fm8) 😅 I do hope they improve the game overall though as I'm not really fussed too much about graphics.
