Over the years, I've been spoiled flying giant scale state of the art 3D aerobatic planes. The feeling of flying those high-end machines is truly unmatched, but, well, our wallets might not always be up for the task.
That's where models like the FMS MXS come in! This plane promises to bring the joy of aerobatics and 3D flying without the sky-high price. At just $239, it’s a plug-and-play model, complete with everything you need to take off - well, except for the receiver and battery pack.
Is it any good? Can it really fly 3D aerobatics? Let's find out!

Nice vid man. Out of interest what TX do you use for your big planes? FrSky as well?

Thanks! On the past year I have been using a Spektrum ix14 for pretty much everything. I'm now giving FrSky a try, as I think they offer a lot a great things at a very affordable price, and it seems like their 2.4Ghz + 900mhz Tandem link is hard to beat. A big reason for trying something different is to figure out what system I want to use moving forward as I will be flying very expensive jets in the near future and want to ensure I have full confident in my equipment :-)

@@skyboundrc OK nice one thanks for the feedback. I'm using Spektrum also but have started using Frsky for Slope Soaring. I've not switched to using it for 3D yet but will try in the neat future.

I've been using Spektrum for all of my planes, as it was the default radio system here in the US. I'm now testing FrSky as a potentially more flexible and reliable system. This is part of the testing I'm doing to figure out what system I want to use long term on large scale 3D planes and jets. So far, FrSky is looking very promising

@@skyboundrcI'm sponsored by a frsky in my opinion, it's the best radio system. They are so much more flexible than any other radio system I have seen ever since I got into flying. I've been using them and it's mint I have no complaints

I remember when this was 150 bucks. I started the hobby 2 years ago. Prices are stupid now. I make the same amount of money I did then, and now everything is too expensive.

I'm looking into buying my first plane. I'd like a solid 3d acrobatic plane, seems fun. What are your recommendations for best beginner plane? Right under$300
@cwwisk
@cwwisk 7 месяцев назад
@@gavinc.9785 well, you need a transmitter, so I'd go with any RadioMaster radio with the 4-in-1 module inside. Best quality radio under 1000 bucks probably, and almost cheapest. As for airplane, I'd go with either twisted hobbies flat foam plane or a Skynetic profile plane made of "EPP". EPP foam is way more durable than EPO. And if you are doing 3D, you will crash. Before even thinking about flying it, I'd get a simulator you can use your transmitter to control, so you can have some stick time and muscle memory. If you feel like you want a good handle on just flying a plane, go with a Freewing Pandora. It will help build your basic skills and take you much further past "beginner" than any other trainer on the market. Any more questions, I'd be happy to help.
