I just bought it a few weeks ago for just under 1k. I didn't even look it up. I went to buy a 1911 45. Then I saw this bad boy. After feeling a few of the guns, I came back to this FN. One of the owners told me, this is the one to buy. He's wanted to buy one, but hadn't 'pulled the trigger' yet. I took his word for it. It appears, I made a good decision. I just bought my suppressor. It cost more than the gun once you include the 1934 tax stamp that thankfully hasn't seen a word call "inflation" aka "greed". Good thing is, I don't plan on ever selling it. Apparently, it's an AMAZING .45 to have after all these years. I don't have small hands and that appears to be a plus. Feels so good in my hands. Even though I'm technically left handed, I shoot right. But, the gun does not care a bit about my hands. The gun is ambidextrous. It's a very nice touch that thanks to my apparent disability, doesn't matter. The main thing to know about this masterpiece is if you have small hands, DO NOT BUY IT.
I’m looking to get a fnx tactical and would like honest opinions, I have a small hands, but I can fit my hands around a full sized Sigg would this pistol be a good option for carry?
If you have small hands, this pistol will feel like a large brick, especially with the rmr and surefire light on. It’s hard to conceal and will most likely imprint. This gun compared to a p365 is night and day for carry options. But I ccw the fnx45 tactical when I want to show it off. This gun with my octane 45 is a really good pairing.
Hey, so i have the fnx 45 tactical gbb airsoft pistol and i struggle to find an RMR mount for it, can you guide me? What mount plate would work? Where do i get the specific fnx 45 plate, to mount the rmr on, or i can use some universal plate (the ones with many holes from ali express) dont know what to order.
Hi there. Not really familiar with the airsoft variant or whether it's drilled and tapped the same way as the real thing. FN provides the plate for the pistol in the box. I'd think you could buy a plate directly from FN, but I'm not sure if it'd fit the airsoft version. Best thing to do, is just to buy the real deal 😉. It will come with everything you need all in the box.
Makes you wonder how it's possible to get the grip that hot, doesn't it? I mean, even if you're out in 90 degree heat and death gripping it, it seems a little suspicious that these accounts showcase a rubber-like condition of the magwell. I don't buy it. Unless you're deliberately trying to heat the grip, I don't see that impacting anyone in real world usage.
I have a first gen if you can call it that? I'm not sure if there was actually a noted generation change when they changed their polymer. But the old polymer they used does flex to the point where you could squish the magwell in with your normal grip. And I can attest to heat, causing more flex as I've been in hot cars where the ac didn't work in the summer time. And the windows didn't roll down.
Upper looks great.. the lower looks so cheap/gold. I opted for the black. love it BTW. (just wish they made it with the upper color on the lower frame)
I did forget the USP only carries a couple more than a 1911 in the mag. 15 per mag is massive. I've never held them side by side to actually see if the FN is lower quality. They were going for a mil contract like the USP so i'd say it will outlast us both. @@EchoDelta2A
