Thanks bud. I wish it was but no. This is the steel slide and frame, DLC coated on an aluminum grip. Still feels like a million bucks, but the Damascus and steel grip would've put it over the top!
Nice i wish i have this gun just for display but if am bored i just gonna get a target and shoot since i want a long revolver. You said it can have 9 cylinders that means i can have 9 bullets!?!?!? You already sold me in and can i modified that barrel to be longer to my desires?
Good review. My LTT 1301 flimsy plastic bolt release tab broke off within 200 rounds. I agree with your comment about an $1800+ gun having unnecessarily cheap parts. A couple of suggestions: Reverse your shell carrier so the loop is at the rear. It is less likely to rip off the side saddle as you move through obstacles. Mount the light at 6 o’clock so you can add a sling mount forward at 9. Having the option to add a sling with QD’s is especially helpful in days-long classes.
I’m fortunate to work at a shop where there is one well heeled customer that has an affinity for custom 2011s. I have been able to handle many of these incredible pistols. Today 2 boxes showed up. One was a TTI Sand Viper and the other was a Hayes Customs Island Barrel 2011. Of all the 2011s I have ever held in my hands this one stood out for its amazing fit and finish. I love the simple yet beautiful lines of this pistol every part exquisitely blended and it easily had the best slide to frame fit on a pistol of any kind have personally had the pleasure of handling. I have decided to give myself a retirement gift and this pistol is going to be it.
I have owned the Tavor 7 for 2 years. I run it Suppressed with a SilencerCo Saker. Recently the rifle suffered a malfunction while doing routine target shooting. It first stovepiped. I thought that was strange because it was the first time I had a malfunction. When I cleared it and fired again the same thing happened. But the third round fired failed to extract at all. I removed the recoil assembly and discovered the extractor was no longer on the bolt. I found it on the shooting table. I contacted IWI in PA and instead of sending me a replacement bolt they requested the entire rifle for evaluation and repair. They received the rifle Sept 19. UPS delivered it back to me on October 16th. They replaced the entire recoil assembly, I imagine they verified head spacing also. The good news is that instead of charging me $377 for the repair they covered it as a warranty issue. I will take it to the range on Friday or Sunday. Hopefully this was a one time issue of a defective part and not something in the design.
My friend, trust me when I tell you that if you were going to put down Atlas money, you should seriously consider looking for a Hayes Custom Cobra. They are better built than the Staccato and Atlas, but they're hard to find unless you order one. I can't recommend it enough. For $5k, you are getting an Infinity quality 2011 built by a master.
It's full DLC with Gold Trigger and Baseplates. Hayes does a satin DLC in a graphite/charcoal type of color but the brushing he does to the slide makes it look two tone. It's really beautiful, especially when seeing it in person. It comes standard on all the Cobra series guns when going DLC over Stainless.
I guess it was to hold true to the "battery-less" design. That said, they had a small illuminator attachment for the M21 and should have one coming for the M22.
Damn, that's a tough one. Can't go wrong with either but I'm just bored of black and fde. OD is cool too, but it seemed that grey was the unique pick to mess with this time around.
😂. Love that analogy. TBH, I didn't have the greatest of experiences with the JG. Extractor was shit from the get go. That said, it was an easy fix and it's a beautiful gun. I'd still buy one again, and I still prefer the aluminum grip over the polymer one of a Staccato.
@@EchoDelta2A Yeah, I'm kind of on the fence between this and the Staccato CS. I have the C2 and love it, but in the interest of diversity, I thought I would research this pistol.
To be honest, I still think the Staccatos are more full proof. If you're thinking of carrying, I wouldn't even think twice. Staccato all day. The JG is a great work in progress but needs some fine tuning and more in house manufacturing. They use a lot of small parts that aren't turned to their gun.
Dude snags one of the nicest tactical shotguns that money can buy and then hits up Temu for the accessories. Also, stop putting optics on your fucking shotguns. It’s a fucking shotgun.
Let me guess, you'd also be one to make the claim that you don't even have to aim with a shotgun cause, "it's gotta good spread." Thanks for the advice, but I'll take the optic on a fuckin shotgun any day, especially one from Temu 😘
An optic lowers your reaction time, accuracy, and splits. Take a course some time. Try with and without an optic. I'll gladly accept your apology. Until then, consider your argument, "weak."

Cabot guns Infinity-Atlas gunworks Wilson combat-nighthawk custom Masterpiece arms-Jacob grey Hayes custom-Staccato Bull armory-Stealth arms Springfield prodigy. For people that wanna know how the gun chart goes from top to bottom.
The Hayes is far ahead of Staccato, Wilson or Nighthawk. IYKYK Proper alignment would be: Cabot Infinity-Hayes Atlas-Nighthawk MPA-Wilson Combat Staccato Bul Jacob-Grey Springfield
Don't take my word for it either. I'm telling you, though, the Hayes can only be compared to an Infinity or Venom. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hXSR555zSTU.htmlsi=O9Z9pn0qX3_FbNAF ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z-FDeJc3vZM.htmlsi=mRUbT3vqyYbRNOpm ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7hA3nJLAGp0.htmlsi=xvxAkRbmJ_JbbJkl
Beautiful firearm. I just picked up the DWX Optic ready, and I have the same issues you had. The front sight is a relatively tall fiber optic, but no plate and after calling and speaking with them, they had no info on what size rear sight I needed to match the front sight and they didn't even know it was a glock dovetail. Really disappointing because the optic ready version of this firearm is $500 more than the non optic ready, and here I am, forced to use it without an optic. They have no plates in stock either and they seemed clueless about all of this. Great shooting gun though. May have to utilize Impact Machine to get a plate, and search for an optic with a rear sight notch. Less than ideal.
Yeah, disappointing to hear. I think they can solve it by simply making one or two variants that have direct milled slides for RMR and DP footprints. That fixes everything. Co-witness with standard height irons
Both are top notch tools that will serve you well. No need to wonder which is the king? I see them as equals. Yes, I do have both like you. Pick the one YOU like and next... Buy both? BTW: My LE m4 comes with the extended mag tube and the telescoping stock. Great content!!! Thank you!!!
It's the Mepro Tru Vision Red Dot with a Falke B5X magnifier: www.opticsplanet.com/meprolight-tru-vision-electro-optical-red-dot-sight.html www.opticsplanet.com/falke-b5x-le-w-flipup-mounting-magnifier.html
Things I would change on it. Replace all MiM parts with machined Wilson Combat parts Remove the extended mag well. Replace those weird skeleton grips with tan G10 grips. Dehorn the whole pistol and redo the cerakoting.
I mean, you might as well get into a semi-custom at that point lol. Not much of a different in cost when you go that far, but I agree that the list you provided would heavily improve the pistol.
To legally own a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR), you must first obtain a tax stamp from the ATF. Once you do so, you can add a stock, vertical grip, or other accessories that are normally prohibited while the gun is still considered a pistol, rather than a rifle. It's all just a bunch of ridiculousness and just another hoop to jump through in order to exercise your God given right to self preservation, but it is what it is.
Thanks for the review. I have a different opinion. I enjoy shooting the Alien. I also added brass lox grips. But you never mentioned the heat issue. After about 150-175 rounds if you're running consecutive drills. That baby gets hot. After 200 rounds, you have to give it a timeout. 😂 Shooting my Atlas Titan rds v2. 400 rds training and some regular target practice. Cool as a cucumber. My Bul UR Shorty, same thing. No heat issues. I've also shot my buddies Alien Creator. Same thing, heat limits your round count. Everyone has a difference in practice rounds.I was told about the heat issue from a competition shooter who ran a Alien before I purchased. Dry fire with the included snap cap. And no excessive mag dumps. So i can't place the Alien above my other DS guns. Great gun. But the heat issue is a huge negative.
Definitely agree about the heat problem. Never been able to take that many consecutive shots in succession before, but I definitely know it would be an issue if the scenario called for it. That said, unless you're in a situation that calls for 150+ shots in a short time frame, I'd imagine it would be a rare nuisance. Still, it's a relevant gripe.
