Basically this Miles is a psychopath who was contractually promised a best friend in Sonic, but Sonic saw the red flags and spent no time around him, instead quickly bonding with Knuckles and Shadow, who Tails soon murdered in cold blood. Amy, suspicious of Tails, set him up to catch him rigging her hammer to kill her, bringing Sonic to see what he was doing.
