We think the differences are subtle, but the differences do stand out once you hear them. Here's a quick breakdown of the upgrades to help you make your decision. The Focal Clear Mg has been updated with a new speaker driver cone material that took the Focal engineers four years of research and development to develop. Now the Clear Mg has a dome with an all Magnesium cone for the full-range driver. This new alloy, combined with Focal’s special ‘M’-shaped dome, allows the speaker driver to be even lighter, and more rigid than the Clear’s original aluminum-magnesium driver. Since the original Clear already reproduced a pure, effortless, realistic sound, just think of even more impactful music, revealing even more. In Clear Mg, the high-performance dynamic driver can present a full range of frequencies from 5Hz to 28kHz for deep bass extension, and a maximum sound pressure level of 104dB for a more precise dynamic range in the mid to high frequencies. Think more precise micro details, more realism, and more accurate dynamics hiding in the headphone’s wide-open soundstage. The updated driver also gives the Focal Clear Mg an advantage in the power needed. The new second-gen Apple TV 4K is truly the gateway into multichannel Atmos over the HDMI connection. The new Apple TV 4K has been upgraded to the eARC HDMI port which is an important feature to keep in mind with a multichannel Atmos-enabled AV Receiver or a TV this year. The eARC HDMI connection (or Enhanced Audio Return Channel) is the evolution of HDMI ARC and this is what you need to transmit full Dolby Atmos from the Atmos source or TV back down the HDMI cable - without compression. If your Dolby Atmos source is the older first-gen Apple TV 4K, you should still be able to experience Spacial Audio with Apple Music, depending on your surround channel Atmos-enabled A/V receiver - but you may not be getting the full Atmos experience. I have the hifiman Arya and Lg g8x

The new Mojo 2 is a fantastic piece of gear. However it will not unpack MQA for the Tidal files. Apple is an option and you should also look at Qobuz. Thanks for watching

Those are awesome headphones but have no surround features as they are made for music. But even without that feature they should still sound great

youll be disappointed, the og clear is great but the mg loses out on technical perf and while the timbre isnt as bad, its still really metallic

Cables do not affect sound quality unless you are using a 2 dollar cable or something

this is Audio Advice channel, they sell audio products, what do you expect apart from marketing spiel ? I only watch these for the specs not for an objective review
