The fog horn string band has brought back the sounds we all have missed for years. They are playing what all of us old time country, bluegrass, cajin fans have been missing for years. I thought this kind of good old hat tossin chest pounding down home pickin and singin was gone for ever. Thank God for all this good ole time music this group is providing.
I guess that this was the music my family members met in the late nineteens century when they came to the US as immigrants from Sweden. Not so far from the swedish folks-music but with a better rythm. And the girl playing base makes it excellent. The north-american soul?
Every so often the camera will catch somebody shaking their head in amazement and for good reason. Country music done right is the Lord's delight. It's solstice tonight friends and neighbors. The high and low point of the year depending on how you look at it. The daylight is uphill from here. God bless and happy whatever you celebrate. I personally will be celebrating the end of 2020.
My new favorite band! Why haven't I heard of them until today??? Especially with such a talented group of players! Thank you RU-vid for suggesting I give them a listen.
They are amazing in person as Foghorn. Saw Caleb and Reeb at a small place in WA last night. I drove 2 hours from Seattle to see them. So worth it!! They were playing for Reeb's family at a local rural hall!
From The Netherlands, I thought country music has died after Johny Cash and all those other country singers. It's not! The Foghorn Stringband keeps the music alive and even new!
Thank God for this group and its energizing inspiration great Musical and songs could not ask for anything better to get someone in a good mood and that's wonderful
This Band always seems to put on a great performance, hopefully I'll get a chance to see them live sometime, I'd love to do a video of them myself although it wouldn't be the professional quality of most of the video's I've seem of them so far, but just the opportunity to hear them live would be wonderful.
