Folded Space Insert Review: Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion 

Would you mind sharing a link to the glue you used or provide the name?

@@BenOfOld I'm not sure it would help. It was fast drying wood glue I got at my local DIY here in Germany. According to what I read that is the glue Folded Space recommends in the the instructions.

That’s an excellent question. I’ve notice this year that communication has gone downhill greatly through kickstarters and it seems like the companies just get away with it.

I wouldn't bother with this one to be honest. The game already comes with a pretty decent token insert. And ziplocks work fine for the monsters.

@@RenbroNL I partially agree. You don't need it. I did find that you kind of have to squish in all the bags to not have lid lift. And this could mess with the dividers. I still like monsters in bags rather than splitting their cards and standees into separate locations.

@@RenbroNL Saw some decent looking ones on Amazon that helped shrink the play area down, which I love. Just thought it to be funny how I opened RU-vid after doing research and this got uploaded but a min later.

​@@DrBalmy ​Well I'm not denying it can't help or anything like that. Too me an insert should help with setup and organizing during gameplay. The token container + ziplocks do a good job with that. Like said before the monster you will only pull out occassionally, ziplocks allow you to group everything together. If it doesn't fit then just toss the insert. I've been doing it a lot with my games and it works beautifully. And is super easy to sort out when you get the game. Unlike having to buy an insert which you have to glue together. Games are ment to be played, not to be somekind of art piece on your shelf. If it fits in the box it's fine. In what way does the stuff you found help shrink the play area? Is it really that significant? I did get the folded space inserts for Spirit Island and Viticulture, both with all available content. Games that I pull out a lot and that have useless inserts. In hindsight I would say that Spirit Island absolutely needs it since everything is into play all the time and has many tokens. Viticulture however I question now. It does have some slight lid lift and not to happy with how the player components are stored, a ziplock would probably be better for that. If I would do it again I would definitely try the ziplock route first. And I bet it works just as good, probably better. One final thing to add I ofcourse do have some nice generic bowls in several sized. Not going to unload a ziplock on the play area itself.
