Great. Wonder if you would share how the hinges were set in. I understand drawing around the hinge, but curious about the notch-out for the barrel on the hinge. Thanks.
No problem, so after drawing around them a flush router bit was used to carefully notch out the shape. Then went a bit deeper for the barrel part if that makes sense.
Excellent. Nice to meet you today. Make sure you take the 10min walk to Stoney Cove. Ask the Site Manager the way.. 👍🏻👍🏻👌👌 Maggie and Mack, Huddersfield
That table is brilliant. Lovely video as always. I think i have spent more time measuring and looking and re measuring on every little thing on this van build
That’s absolutely brilliant guys love the design, your bus is so well thought out, love watching your videos it’s giving me so many ideas for when I start my build
Thank you. That’s a lovely comment to read. We’ve found RU-vid and others builds so helpful too, and can’t wait to hear more about yours. Thanks again and take care
Just found this video - nice work! I'm considering getting one of these but have heard reports of issues with the plastic bushings. How has the Lagun fared for you? Any wobble or sag?
Now that’s what I call genius! Fab design and even better execution 😍😎👍🏻 Is it me or have you started using a mic for when you’re talking away from the camera? Or did you use this when you were away, only noticing it now 😂😂😂
Thanks Ian. We are pleased with it so far. Mic - good spot. We have. We did use it for mainly voice over when we were away and have been using it for a few build videos. Have been trying to work on the sound and getting it leveled. But it’s a tricky thing 😂
Hi can you tell me the what the parts are called like the hinges and the support bars u have use underneath please as im building my own now thank you 😊
Sounds good, the hinges are called butler hinges. These are the ones we used: amzn.to/3XJlw08 The leaf supports seem to be out of stock, but these are very similar: amzn.to/3Zt5sRo Let us know how you get on.
Hey sorry we’ve not got the van at the moment as we’ve had something go wrong with it. If you still need this let us know and we will measure it when we get the van back.
We did think about this. We wanted to turn the passenger seats instead so it makes more of a communal area with the sofa/kitchen. I tbink if we had a regular front seat arrangement we’d have swiveled both. We also looked at the seat box for the drivers seat and when it swivels it would have been a bit higher than the passenger seats, so the table wouldn’t have worked as well in that position.
Smart way to fold the table ... But: with the "securing" latch on top of the small version you take away the usage as a small one-person table ... ( and please do NOT use the table infront of passengers while driving - (the lagun fasteners do not withstand the forces of a hard break maneuver nor even a light impact - really dangerous (ask me how I know)
Thanks Tom. The latch does reduce the usage a bit but we’ve found we can sit a laptop, colouring book etc on it still - so that’s good. The main consideration was keeping it from opening when being picked up or moved if that makes sense. When you say fasteners do you mean the turn handles themselves? I’ve emailed Lagun to ask them about this, so thanks for pointing it out. They seem quite sturdy on the face of it, but we will take into consideration and ask the manufacturer about use in transit. Cheers for the heads up.
