@3M2008 I'm betty except, James is dating Augastine. Yesterday, James sat behind me in class and Augastine said to James they should go sit somewhere else, he didn't want to, so Augastine left alone. I like James and I think he likes me too. Given the chance, I don't think I'd date him. I wouldn't want to do that to Augastine because I think she already hates me. Plus, I think James is just a crush, I'll get over him like how I always do.

Damn I always imagined Augustine as a tall lean girl with sweeping blonde hair and light summery dress like when Taylor performed it in the eras tour, but more modern and it's the shade of pink like in her lyric video. While Betty is more down to earth, she's medium sized but still lean, she's slightly tan and she always wears her hairs in two buns. She's a brunette, she wears shorts that show her athletic legs, and she's always standing tall and confident. She's popular with her friends and has a very leadership quality to her. I always thought Augustine had that it girl fashion, while Betty had the it girl personality

Wow. That was amazing. A couple of things I really loved: 1. The references to All Too Well/The Moment I Knew in the birthday scene. And them him giving her the RED cardigan. 2. August seeing visions of Betty. And the evolution of August turning into Betty in hopes that would make James stay. 3. The illicit affairs reference "make sure nobody sees you leave" This was really well done, and I hope Taylor sees this! You did a fantastic job!

She and James knew very well what they were doing and of their own free will they did it. No one in a betrayal is the only victim other than the person betrayed. If you are a conscious accomplice to betrayal, you are not a victim. you know it's wrong and you decide to do it anyway. Augustine knew everything all along about James and Betty and yet she was there, doing that to James. They are both wrong in what they did and this only proves how Betty was the only person who entered into all this without asking. There is no victim in a betrayal other than the person betrayed, and a betrayer and an accomplice deserve nothing good for what they knowingly put the betrayed person through.

So why didn't he talk to Betty about not wanting to go? he just took advantage of this to show how much of an idiot he was. he was betrayed in no time. although a traitor always needs any excuse to justify his act, so does his accomplice and whoever supports them also needs this supposed error to support the traitor and the accomplice, like the excuse of "it's as if he had also been betrayed"

I'm a filmmaker and holy - wow this was well-produced. The level of commitment with the sets, the syncing of the songs to the visuals, the top-notch cinematography. Beautiful work. well, she knew about James and Betty. How can she take garlic seriously knowing that James was a traitor? How can you consider something serious when it starts wrong? especially through betrayal? If she was there reflecting on Betty, it's because she KNEW about her the whole time and yet, she decided to be with James doing something that they both knew very well was wrong. In the end, Betty was the only one who entered the story without asking, while two others were doing something wrong behind her back as if it were fun and right.

Augustine says in the song, especially in the bridge, that he wasn't hers to lose, which pretty much means she knew everything. she was with him in the summer, because it was a "summer love", saying "we" and then she makes it very clear: "you weren't mine to lose". Here she makes it very clear that she knew all along that James was with Betty, but was taking advantage of it because she knew it would all end after the summer. Do you really think that if James had told her that he had nothing to do with Betty, she would give that justification? Would she come up with this justification she gives on the bridge, if Betty and James had nothing? of course not. and another: she stopped the car for James, which indicates that she knew him too well to do that. Would you put someone you don't know in your car? Anyone with sense wouldn't do that. So, this demonstrates very well that she knew him to know who he was at that moment. and what is this saying that James and Betty were taking her to something? So you're saying Betty knew what James was doing? spare us a weak argument like that, because that's exactly what you made clear in the comment. or did I understand wrong? How would Betty bring the other girl into this situation, if she discovered the betrayal through gossip? forgot about that? august is a song i’m very very attached to, like, i have so many fantasies, visions, daydreams about this song in my head, so many pinterest boards on how augustine look like, what the weather is like, the memories, everything! so when i watch a lot of these fan-made movies, i often get really really disappointed because the memories or augustine doesn’t look exactly like how i’ve imagined her in my head. but when i came across this one accidentally and watched it - august was absolutely spot on!! down to her honey coloured hair, the memories drenched in golden sunlight and sparkly ocean waters twinkling, that glowy dreamy blur in her memories, her hair wilding in the wind when she’s driving, running on the beach, hugging and laughing, trying to dress like betty, the picnic and strawberry (insane btw) everything!! i can’t believe you guys got her all down so correctly and this made me so happy thank u guys so much i am truly in awe!!

Augustine seeing bettys reflection, James going to the party seeing Betty with another guy while Augustine watched him and chased after him, James passing bettys house, Augustine changing her appearances, the beginning scenes of part 2 during the summer, part 3 where he’s thinking of Betty all along, bettys birthday wow wow wow these scenes were exactly how I saw them amazing job

I think it's interesting seeing cardigan being the beginning of this story. In my head canon I always thought cardigan was the ending years later after betty takes James back and she finds this old cardigan in a box or something.

how i've always imagined it: betty and james were dating, for summer james went to a summer camp, and started being a sorta thing with augustine. she wanted it to be official he didn't. betty finds out from inez and breaks up with him. james says sorry and try's to get betty back and regrets it severely, while augustine it left hurt and confused. betty is like ew no and later when she's older she's singing cardigan as a reflection of her mistakes in her teenage years.

This is so wholesome and well done and takes me right back to being 17. The references to other songs throughout, the 1989 imagery in part 2, the fonts used, the end credits. So much attention to detail and creativity. I hope Taylor sees this video.

oh my gosh that was incredible. every single aspect of this film, the outfits, the actors, the acting, the sets, the cardigan (when it got thrown into the fire omg my jaw dropped), augustine seeing betty in the reflection, the references to other songs, the cinematography, the flashbacks of memories all of them had with each other, everything about the prom, the beach scenes, even the credits, everything about this film - pure perfection.
