I have a bunch of high value NIB sets I was thinking about listing on eBay. Listening to your story... and hearing the same thing from my neighbor who used to use eBay a lot.... makes me rethink my plans. Maybe I will try local sales first...

What I dont think people understand is that when you call eBay they not only look at the item and tracking but they aslo look at the messages both ways on that item, this is why when we have had an issue (and its not many) I always make sure I am supper nice in m y messages, really understanding and helpful, so when they review the messages they can see I have done all I can to help the buyer.

I can tell my that my experience on WhatNot trying to sell bulk comics has not been good. My fist comic show (I also sell toys and estate goods) was advertised as being Sword & Sorcery, Adventure, Western and War comics. Titles were good bronze to Golden age books like Conan, Kamandi, Tarzan, Gene Autry, Lone Ranger, Our Army At War, etc. Some VG western books I was trying to sell for $5-$7 each. Had a run of Conan #60-100 in FN condition, and split those into lots of 3 issues asking $5 per lot. I ran through books for two hours and at the end, I had sold three books. After fees I made $5. So I just figured no one on WhatNot wanted those kinds of books, so I did another comic sale and brought Spiderman, Batman, Superman, X-Men etc. I had a couple of long boxes worth of books mostly 80's to 2010), with a small amount of Silver. I had several lots of NM modern books bundled by story arc, runs, etc. And was just bundling them together averaging out $1 a book. Mid Grade Silver Age Batman and Superman books at $15-$30 each. I sat for three hours running books that time. I sold 5 issues of Batman Beyond for $5. That's it over the course of three hours, with some good books! Not key books, but good books! People would come on the show only wanting high dollar keys (some I had in my office, but they wanted starting bids of next to nothing of course) or they would have really random requests (Do you have issue #3 of Batman Orpheus?) Even if I had the book, they didn't want to bundle anything else with it and wanted me to run one book for $1. My shipping box for comics costs me $1. After WhatNot fees you would only get $0.51 on a $1 sale, and then you have to pay for your packaging materials out of that! So no one wanted bundles and no one wanted to pay you anything for singles. If you don't just have slabbed high grade key books, it looks to me like selling comics on E-WhatNot is just a way to go broke! The only comics I was really able to sell on WhatNot was I bought a small collection of comics. They had a bunch (50-100) that were modern books, but low grades (GD to FN). I took those and a few other modern books that aren't sellable (think Wildstar #1) but in NM condition. I put them into lots of 6 for $3 and one buyer came along and bought all the bundles at that price). Maybe I sold $40-$50 there before fees and it didn't take forever. It's good if you are a buyer though. I bought a lot of 27 mid grade Archie's from the mid-70's the other night for $1 + $4.50 shipping. Locally I can peddle those out for $1 each. So far for me, WhatNot is a horrible place to sell comics unless it is high grade slabs or key books. I would love to buy your collection of 25,000 books, but unfortunately I'm out of room and out of cash right now. I've already bought $30,000 worth of collections this year and I don't think I would have room right now to even store one more short box of comics, let alone 85 long boxes more. I'll keep you in mind though as the year progresses, if I am able to free up some space and cash. I do generally buy books at bulk (like a store closing) for $.20 each. Used to be $.10, but you know, inflation! Does depend somewhat on what they are (good variety). Learned that after buying 5000 books, but had 100 issues of Rogue #1, 100 issues of Storm #1, etc. Its one thing to move 5000 different comics. It's entirely another to move 100 copies of only 50 different books! I got burned on that deal at only $.10 per issue! I feel your pain though! I guess I have a little better luck selling on E-Bay and local than you seem to have.

Happy to hear you got your money back! Your last video had me feeling bummed ☹️ seeing you so broke 😞 specially how you ended the video by just walking away, head and shoulders down, dragging your feet. You seem to be a little more hopeful and I’m glad to see that. Oh, and I think I was subscriber #500 😁 as it was 499 right before I pushed subscribe 😃 wishing you best of luck!

Oh man, I'm sorry... I feel your pain with the truck. I had a Nissan Navara, I bought it used from a dealer and put a lot of money and effort into improving it etc. I loved that thing, I had it less than a year and left it into the same dealership I bought it from for a service - after a few days they called to say there was a problem, the chassis had a crack in it, apparently it was a fault with that particular model year for chassis coming from a certain region. It was unfixable. There are videos on RU-vid of trucks like mine snapping in two driving down the road. Long story short Nissan had to buy it back from me to scrap it and it took ages to get them to give me what I paid for it. I replaced it with a jeep patriot - had it 4 weeks when the electrical system failed, and replaced that one with a used landrover which I will have to drive until the wheels fall off - which might be very soon Ha! Cars are great when they work, but terrible black holes that suck your money and your enthusiasm away when they don't. And like Lego right now they hare getting even more expensive.

Hey Jaabo My own experience of car salesman has been hit and miss. We’ve had a one that has gone above and beyond and all the others have been the complete opposite. Worse than car salesman are car insurance brokers. The last 2 weeks I’ve had a nightmare trying to get through to my insurers. Two weeks ago we were hit by a stolen motorcycle being chased by the police. In the U.K., even though the vehicle was stolen, the owner of the vehicle still has to cover any damage that the stolen vehicle causes. Trying to get confirmation from my insurance company that I won’t be liable for paying for repairs has been a nightmare. I finally found out on Friday that I still have to cover the costs but, eventually, I’ll be reimbursed! I have no idea when, none at all… EBay have gone from being a place to sell unwanted items to a platform where everyone thinks they’re entitled when an item hasn’t arrived the day before it was purchased.

Some buyers on ebay are total impatient idiots just wanting free items. I hope it doesn't totally ruin it for you. I know a lot of people don't want to sell expensive items on there. I still would have tried to intercept the package. I have lost money on items just so scammers don't get items for free. I believe if there is any scanned tracking in the past 10 days you can call and have the case kept still open. I'm glad ebay was able to help. I've tried selling on mercari and poshmark. I think ebay is still the best and has the best support by far.

Welcome to the dark side of extended warranties. I have got them on our current vehicle, and the cost of the warranty has already paid for it's self due to silly stuff. Newer cars are not cheap to fix. You milage may very.
