Just think of a random thing and paint it 😂 trust me I tried to paint the galaxy on my first painting (I am 10- just realised I’m talking like a professional lol) and I ended up changing my mind and going with the moon at night with clouds around it Also, tape around the canvas (as a border) so when you’ve finished painting you rip the tape off and it’s a clean border :)))

Omg this is SO AMAZING!!! Thank you for pushing yourself in your gift. I am a lifelong Bob Ross fan. I used to watch his painting show everyday while staying home from school as my escape from my horrific childhood abuse and bullying. His soft voice and sweet soul held me through my abuse with every stroke of his brush. Now he aides in my healing from it. Thank you for honoring him like this! Blessings to you and your family!

I guess you don't really understand untill it happens. From my artist mind, you do the drawing, or painting, and in the process you see all the fault and obvious mistakes to you. Does that make sense?

It's kind of like a gymnast doing a trick, the majority of people would say it was amazing, but maybe she would say that it was terrible because she didn't point her feet or tighten her shoulders. Things a normal person wouldn't notice, and it's the same for art

Not to discourage you, but don't. I tried it in my closet door before and I was halfway through when my mom announced that we're moving houses. The halfway done painting of mine could've stayed there but the new people that moved in requested to paint all the walls white

Honestly the secret to motivation is not to wait to have it before you start. Just start. Why wait for something as unreliable and flighty as motivation? You don’t have to feel good all the time to do something. Then motivation becomes like a muscle that you can build and flex instead of a rare bird that you hope to see.
