Our Fomapan Plus film review combines the community's comments, recommendations, sample images and feedback to give you an excellent overview of Fomapan 100's strengths and weaknesses!
Fomapan classic 100 is a panchromatic high resolution film. It is a great budget emulsion that offers fine grain and that timeless black and white look. It is a perfect film for detail in sunlight and bright conditions, has a wide exposure latitude and holds highlights really well. Fomapan classic 100 is ideal if you are looking for a low speed, budget film that still achieves cracking results! The film is available in roll film 120, sheet films, perforated 35 mm films including long length rolls. 🎞😄

I prefer the 100 fomapan over the 400 . I have in both 35mm and 120 definitely if you nail the exposure results are beautiful

Perversely, I use Foma100 for pinhole because of the reciprocity curve. Much easier to time 30 seconds than 2 😀

I've just taken a roll of Fomapan 100, strangely enough. I found it pretty good, I have to say. It's like all films, if you nail it you'll get results that are spot on.

One way to cope with the reciprocity failure with pinhole for example would be to add time to the development rather tha the exposure. This will give you an even more contrasty/grainy image.

Foma 100 loves light. One of the best photos I have taken was with Foma 100. Old Zorki, Jupiter 8, medium/dark yellow filter and sunlight = good things. I like how it's can almost look like an IR sensitive film under the right conditions.

One of the best value 4x5 films on the market.

Actually Forma films especially 100 and 400 have a lot of latitude when developed using stand development. I use semi-stand development and get beautiful results up to 400 using Forma 100 films. The stand development also reduces the contrast issue. I almost always semi stand development with Forma films and am very pleased with the results. Forma does have more grain than say Delta 100 but again not bad.

Foma should consider making a 25 iso film.

This is what I loaded first into my first film camera. Not shot anything yet so good to know about the reciprocity. Thanks

I may need to try a roll or two of Fomapan 100. I’ve enjoyed their 200 speed film, and am planning on shooting a roll this February for Brownie Camera Month. I’ve been enjoying your channel. Cheers!

Foma 100 or 200 are my go-to when I can't grab Rollei Superpan 200, lovely mild greys and surprisingly fine grain for such an accessible film. I always make sure to have some rolls spare for a day out or experimental idea!

I've never shot Foma, but honestly I've never gotten less than 37 shots on any film, and with my Minox or Rollei 39 is the usual.

My experience with Fomapan films, specially 100 and 200. Got some copies of photos made with this film on my wall. Something I observed is that pushing a film 2 stops is not exactly a good idea. At least my results were no good...

it is always fun to experiment though :D

Delta films are not forgiving at all, i think Foma is way more forgiving, i mean 100 iso one
