What a beautiful statement Johnny ❤ and I couldn't agree more. Music and Art brings us all together in peace and harmony, and you nailed it completely by describing it as a social statement. Really moved me. Thank you and sending the biggest vibes of peace to you and your loved ones from me and mine 😊
God bless Dave Grohl and the whole gang for coming back for the fans, and especially for the love they have for music. I know Taylor would’ve approved of the band continuing.
I play in bands for over 20 years. As an amateur tho. But… never the less. Playing live with a band is something else. Give them two months to gel in a live situation and they will be even more epic then they already are!!! What a f%#ing awesome energy again.. God I missed that!! Thanks for sharing🤟🤘
Any chance i coukd get the raw footage of this?? I am making a multicamera edit of this show with someones great audio and would love to have a good source. I was dead center front row. Thanks for this
I hope the crowd’s response to But Here We Are, which happens when you get slapped in the face with a brand new song, doesn’t put them off trying it again now that the album’s out. It sounded AWESOME and is one of my favorites from the record (though who am I kidding, it’s all good)
One of those drummers that makes me interested in a band! Like Barriemore Barlow when he played with Jethro Tull, when Morgan Ågren played with Kaipa, when Bill Bruford was with King Crimson or when Jon Theodore was in the Mars Volta ...or with ANY Band really, prefer Joey Castillo with QotSA though funnily enough...
@@MrE1981 Hahahaha... YOU MUST get to Dave Grohl AS FAAAAST as you can and tell him this!!!! They chose the wrong drummer and also he´s making the total ERRRoR NOT playing the parts correctly and too fast, THIS MUST BE CORRECTED!!! if we get the right people together (with YOU leading us) we may tell Dave and FooFighters how they should do things !!! WE MUST, WE MUST, WE MUST
@@MrE1981 Seriously, he plays fast but he always keeps the tempo going. I don't want a drummer that mimics the previous drummer by learning his exact drum lines. It's good to have a little variation. He's the perfect choice for the new drummer. Anyway that's my opinion.
Well, they've never sounded better. No dis to Taylor, but Josh Freese is a monster fucking drummer. He's lived and breathed it and kept himself from drug problems.
Hey man thank you so much for posting this! I was there but way up in the lawn. Did you hold your phone the whole time or did you have a GoPro or something?
Thanks man! I held my phone up the whole time! It was brutal. I got cramped up some, and it was difficult to navigate the crowd throwing their hands up and jumping around, but I got it done!
@@squiddysquidster802 Why is it trolling? Cause Taylor is dead? I like Taylor, but I agree that Freese is a better drummer and might be a better fit for the Foos (If this video is an indication)
No song is repeated. They do long pauses in some of the songs where you think it's the end of the song, and then they start up again. I spliced those songs together and got rid of the long pause. So maybe that's where it sounds like the same song again to you.
@@FatSeal that's all part of the show kind of weird to edit out when you're trying to post the "full" show. I hope you didn't edit out the Dave banter between songs too
Josh Freese isn't Taylor Hawkins, and I am okay with that. He brings the same kind of thunder Taylor did, and I would say it would be hard to find a better drummer for the Foos.
One thing i never understood is the need for 3 guitarist, i feel like it can over saturate and cancel eachother out.. i feel like dave either dosnt need to play or cut one of the guitarist..
@@chrishammonds72 If 5 people filmed at a show and posted it on RU-vid, that would be fine. You don’t need an entire crowd with their dumb phones out. Most all these shows now are filmed in their entirety anyway (and up on RU-vid).
I can see how people feel the drummer is a little fast. He does seem that way, but he'll get a few more hours on the stool in front of the crowd and he'll be closer to the record.
