@@JStoesz09 Sure, why wouldn't they both sound like their father's when their sound tone is coming directly off a pre-recorded ADAT sound of their father's talent & tone. Other than that Wolfie & Jason maybe their fathers sons (Eddie & John) & even have/own their father's personal gear & music equipment now. Yet, unfortunately they'll never come close to being on the same level of six string & stick skills or have the influence & impact their fathers did. Jason & Wolfie might have grown up with a "Whole Lotta Love" & "Dreams" to be Rock icons in music like their pop's were. 🤔 😂🤣 (pun intended) But, that's where it ends my friend, period. Mic drop!...
Saw MAMMOTH WVH ten days ago in concert here in Maine. Wolfgang ROCKS! I can't wait till he comes back in November opening for Creed and Three Doors Down.
not one single person recognized wolfgang van halen, until he said "Hey, this guy is Wolfgang van halen" For the younger people, he would have to say "There was a really great band called van halen, and this is his kid"
Just schoolin the young folks as they need to be. Imagine living in a world where you dont know the greatness of evh and havent yet discovered EVH who carries on with his dads joyful legacy of playing kickass music and having a blast.
Dude I'm 22 and I know the whole VH discog, probably better than you do! I can play most of their songs on guitar too and have been since I was 13. Y'all need to grow up a bit with this superiority thing with 'young people don't know good music like we do' yada-yada-yada. I'm sure people who were born in the 1920s, '30s, and '40s said the same things and annoyed the hell out of your generation about their music being better and rock music being the worst. I've got plenty of friends my age who grew up on classic rock and still love the genre to this day. Just because hardly any young people YOU know like good music doesn't mean there aren't tens of millions of us in this country!
@@gingerkittie6206like I just schooled this other person on, Van Halen got me through high school, and I'm only 22 now! I'd say that literally over half of my friends listen to classic rock often, and for many its their favorite genre. Break that attitude! It's not good for you or the young people you wrongly preach about, and all it can do is build resentment and push these younger generations away from great music.
Super group = Grohl, Wolfgang, Les Claypool, Sean Lennon....you get virtuouso talent and second generation brilliance. Les claypool & Sean Lennon had the claypool Lennon Delerium and it would be a great fit with Grohl and Wolfgang
Wolfie has only done it with The Foo Fighters twice. Once for Taylor Hawkins tribute and this show. Wolfie loves Dave Grohl more than any other person in music.
@@JoeGomez88 Saying Wolfie loves Dave more than anyone else in music is actually the funniest part really. But, if you, Dave or Google say so I guess it must be true then, right? 🤔 Seriously, of all musicians, people in the music industry for WVH too love the most it's Grohl, huh? WOW, WTF-OVER! 😲🙄😵💫 +Peace & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend+ 🤘😜🤘
Wolfgang Van Halen.... the guy never did it like real bands who built their band and their name. Work hard with no money, hit all the shitty clubs, ride the van or bus... tour tour tour. This guy with his name had it all laid out for him, hard to admire that. He has the money, the contacts, the gear etc. Its funny to me...... will his solo band, Mammoth WVH, ever sell out and headline stadiums? I doubt it. The music is just not there... its very stock, very much for the radio and sounds like too many other bands. These are the facts. Peace.
He may have had an advantage, but no musician gets as good as WVH without busting their ass with practice. He did tour with his dad for several years. Can you imagine the pressure of being Eddie's son and trying to walk in his shoes??? No thanks. I admire the kid because not only can he play a variety of instruments better than most, but he also has the balls to do his own thing, knowing that everyone watching him was going to judge him harshly when comparing him to his father. I understand your point of view, but I think you're judging him without considering the big picture. He seems humble and a genuinely good guy, and I'm happy for him.
Still takes hard work. Plenty of dead musicians have kids you've never heard of. Talent is talent and Wolf has it. Why be a sour jealous pissant about it? Being envious will get you nowhere in life. Grow up.
@bobabooey4537, Stop it, you sound like a dipshlt with all this silly talk. Sure, maybe Wolfie didn't have to wait on "The Ice Cream Man" growing up while he played his "Little Guitars." But, the kid also grew up on "Mean Street" who never really had a chance from the "Jump!" You try standing in the shadows of an iconic Rockstar guitarist like EVH who's your pop's, then come tell me if you're on "Top Of The World." The only thing Wolfie had laid out for him in knowing about making it in music is if anybody was gonna have a hard time at being successful in music it was him & other kids in his position like him. Forget about having it hard, the kid never really stood a chance in the first place. I'd rather take my chances as a no name musician grinding it out jammin' in the bar & club circuit music scene every night. Then to be the son or daughter of an iconic Rockstar & try to stand in their shoes by following their lead, no bout a doubt it. Just saying... 🤔🙄 "Get Your Mind Right!" 😵💫😁 ++Peace & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend++ 🤘😜🤘
So don't go watch videos of him on RU-vid and engage with them by commenting???? You do realize the more you do that, the more content about him will be recommended to you, right?
