Foo Fighters more than likely won't exist without him. They were the Zeppelin of our generation. I wouldn't be surprised if they disband. Taylor was a fucking staple.
So well said!! Sad News Just unbelievable.. It’s one of these days.it’s not ALRIGHT.Heart is broken. RIP legend!! the lyrics & video are just insane. Like they knew something was coming?
“One of these days your heart will stop and play its final beat…” That day occurred to be this one, Taylor. Such a sad loss for rock music. Godspeed on your transition. #RIP.
@@saturn866 Not just for Dave but all his friends and family and band members. Pat Smear has now lost 3 members from bands he was closely associated with. Taylor, Darby Crash from the Germs who killed himself And I think he was the touring guitarist for Nirvana when Cobain died.
And it hits hard too, because the video on "final beat" is a shot of Taylor on the drums. We love and miss you, Taylor! R.I.P you legend, we'll never forget you.
The more I see this film clip, the more I think Foo's are just super cool, down to earth guys. Dave looks just like a normal guy, kids, family, but a bad ass musician who still misses normal things when he's on tour, but gives his all to his fans and appreciates them. I'm not a super crazy fan who knows all their songs and the names of all band members, but this is just an awesome song I can listen to when I'm having a bad day and some how it makes me put everything in perspective. Rock on ImI
TheAussieStig30 took the words right outta my mouth. I was never really a big fan in the past (QOTSA were always more my thing) but I'm starting to appreciate them a lot more recently. Maybe it's the lack of good bands these days or something...
+TheAussieStig30 It really makes you wanna buy their stuff and download it someone. Good music and good musicians need to be appreciated for what they do and that is make music and not money. They can have my money for their music and this band deserves every cent. Shame I missed them at Rock am Ring this year
Foo Fighters was my first concert, around that time I was struggling with my mental health. Hearing the entire arena sing this song made me realize how fucking amazing life can be and I promised myself I'd stay alive to experience that feeling. Listening to this song almost a year later and going through one of the worst times I've ever had, it gives me hope and a reason to keep going.
This is one of the first songs I listened to after learning of Taylor's passing. Man emanated serious energy. True inspiration to every drummer and human. Rest in Power, you legend! :(
Every member of this band is so talented.... and really great people.. thank God for the Foo Fighters... all these years later and they still fucking KICKS ass....
Nakkid Frodo oh completly agree with you hands down they are amazing just amazing i m obsessed with them because of how different it is from where Grohl started from/ Love him on drums and singer!
A wise men said: "A band only could be as good as his Drummer" That's the reason Foo Fighters just stole and broke my heart. All my love for Dave, and Taylor family and sons. I love you.
Taylor, you’ll be forever missed. I remember being 20 y/o winning tickets on the radio to a private show in DC. When I heard I won I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I can’t describe how much that show meant to me. Thankful for the music, memories, inspiration you’ve given to everyone. Rest In Peace.
Que descanses en paz, Taylor. Todos te recordaremos como el excelente baterista de la mejor banda de todo el rock contemporáneo. Los genios son únicos e irrepetibles.

This song is so relevant to the current situation. Rest in peace, Taylor. We will miss your smiles and laughter indefinitely. A true legend and loyal servant to the music industry as a whole. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
I pretty much listen to this song with a glass of chardonnay blasting it on my speaker. We all have experienced BS in life and I know Grohl probably has bad depression over Hawkins. Your right about the words to this song.😪
@@chrisdewet6964 thank you whether you direct this at the storyline ( mine) or the melancholy render for its non malicious mal intent only a protege’ of his former affiliates could under play..I also wrote a song that John Paul White released that begins “ YOURE GONNA DIE. YOURE GONNA DIE.:the intent is to be anticlimactic
Today my heartbreaks, We have lost one of the truly greatest drummers to ever grace a kit, He played drums like his life depended on it as if he was channelling it from another realm. I haven't been this heartbroken since the loss of Prince a good few years back.... It's going to be a bitter sweet day today. I urge you all to play the Foo's as loud as you can today, Lets shake the pillars of heaven with the noise of Foo Fighters today.
RIP Taylor, he probably did more and lived more in his life than most, he saw the world, did what he loved, laughed and was loved by millions around the world. Gone but not forgotten.
I think it's a point a lot miss. Kurt wasn't a dick, far from it. If Nirvana had ended other ways (Kurt's "I don't wanna be a rock star" had a happier ending and he went quietly off to be a daddy somewhere or something) I think he'd have been chuffed to bits if Dave had carried on and ended up where he's at now. Might find some of the later a bit "alternative rock by numbers" but there's been some cracking tracks from FF over the years all the same. Edit: Damn dude, still rolling your "I think Kurt would like it" thought around a good time later. Pretty deep one that, can sadly only give you the one thumbs up :)
Kurt in his heart was a dichotomy of a person. He was a perfectionist. Rewrote lyrics as late as immediately prior to recording and searched in vain for the 'perfect' Nirvana sound that he had in his head but couldn't get out. Loved Beatles-style melodies and the way music often comes first regardless of what the lyrics are (contradicting his constant rewriting of them!) But he was also a punk/metal rocker at heart and rooted in that way of thinking, that it doesn't really matter how good you are or how perfect your guitar sounds, just mean it. Music from the heart will always be good. Kurt also enjoyed that his music was prominent at the time but also hated the trappings of fame. It also gave him easy access to the drugs that he first started using for his still (to this day) undiagnosed stomach condition. I've always wondered if he had some kind of 'de novo' mutation/disease that was unique to medicine. I think he would've very much liked Dave's music. He might have raised an eyebrow at them being a little more 'arena rock' these days than when they started, and I doubt Kurt would play those songs in the same way. But Foo Fighters was a way of continuing a related form of alternative/grunge that has outlasted many, many other bands that formed at the same time. Kurt would've appreciated the way Dave has continued the tradition of just getting out there and playing your stuff - you don't need anything else.
I just became a Foo Fighters fan this year. Music has always been my passion and I only just discovered them… at age 57. Their music just goes right through me and straight to my heart. Thank you Taylor for what you have given me. I am very very ill and listening to the sounds of the Foo Fighters makes me so happy. It’s a bit harder now since your loss. Rest peacefully, Taylor.
I found them about at the same age, 70 now, and still loving them... got to go to a concert in Lexington KY a few years back - highly recommend if you have the chance to
48yo guy here who has probably shed a tear everyday since Taylor sadly left thinking of the unfairness and enjoying the sheer beauty of the man and music. Foo Fighters, more than a band. Part of all of us. Much love and gratitude.
Ryan Wile You must not listen to much modern rock if you think the Foo Fighters and Green Day (a punk band) are the only bands worth anything in todays music. Foo Fighters are indeed amazing and they are my all time favorite band and always will be, but they are a lot of other really good rock bands out there. For instance there is Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures (superband with Dave Grohl [Foo Fighters obviously], Josh Homme [Queens of the Stone Age], and John Paul Jones [Led Zeppelin]), like Gabzito said you have Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dinosaur Jr., Alice In Chains, Muse, anything with/by Jack White (more blues rock), The Black Keys (again more blues rock than straight rock), the list goes on and on. Now don't get me wrong, I am not trying to insult you or your opinion, but there is still so much good rock out there these days it's hard to believe you are much of a rocker if those are the only two bands you can think of. Although a lot of the good modern rock isn't as big and popular these days because most of todays popular bands are pop or rap. But there are still some great classic rock bands like Journey and AC/DC that are still around and playing shows and AC/DC has a new album coming out this year so there is definitely a lot more good rock out there these days than just Foo Fighters and Green Day
Foo fighters has gotten me through decade of sh*t and I just lost my mom to cancer on July 8th 2021 and they are still getting me through sh*t...I can't wait to see them live one day.
Nothing can compare to lose of loved one,Trust me I know, My comments will not ease your pain, The only thing that will help is the passage of time. So sorry for your lose!
Descansa en paz Taylor, no se como describir el gran vacio que dejas, eras o bueno aun seguiras siendo uno de mis heroes, gracias por tanto, hasta siempre.

You are a special human being when you can be in the top rock bands in The world for over 25 years and remain humble and never get caught up in drugs or greed. Love you Dave. Thank you for all the amazing music !
We all share our Condolences to Taylor's Family, friends and the rest of the Foos. His was a talent beyond compare, Legendary drummers don't come round often. Gone too soon. Rest in Peace Taylor drum for the Angels. 🙏😭💔 From f.a fan here in the Uk
Los foo fighters han sido parte de mí vida por 17 años, esta noticia se llevo parte de mí ! Que vivan ! Siempre te recordaremos Taylor, tuve la oportunidad de verte en argentina ❤️
*I'm broken. Foo Fighters has been my favorite band since I was a teenager, the band that made me fall in love with rock. Losing Taylor is like I've lost a part of it, a part of my youth. I do not know how to explain. I've always loved all these guys and their songs have always kept me going, always been a part of my life. These guys changed my life, you are my heroes. We gonna miss you forever, Taylor...*
The bitterness of loss allows the short spring of life to be bright and sweet. Nothing is permanent save for the effect one had on the lives of others. Your music got me through some hard places, it will be carried with me all of my days.
Foo Fighters inspired me to go all in with my music because Dave was once just like me, an artist without many listening. And now he’s on top. I believe it will happen for me one day, Im not stopping when it does! 🧡
I can wholeheartedly say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this band are so unbelievably amazing to see LIVE. The 2 hours I got to experience these guys up close was beyond my wildest imaginations. I’ve never danced and shouted and sang so hard my 36 years & when they played the final chord of Everlong, I fell to the ground and looked at my friends and just laughed. I hope, whomever this reaches, if you love this band, make an effort to go see them live!
You are so right Juan Carlos, myself recently having a 25 year marriage raising two "step" and 2 of my own(I loved the older 2 long before my two came along) and thinking, wrongfully, there shouldn't have been anything we couldn't fix, this song is my new anthem. #gofyerselfcujo
RIP Taylor.. words never describe the effect music has on our lives.. woven throughout so many moments along this journey of life. FF has been such a part of my life - I can’t imagine the pain felt within your family and your FF family - thanks for all the years 🥁🎸🎼💙
One of the biggest loss in modern day rock history, in my opinion, RIP - MR Hawk. You crushed it here on earth 🌎. Thank you for making Foo fighters concerts electric every night. ✌
What I loved about you most Taylor was that you seemed so unassuming and down to earth. Obviously did it all for love and not the money! You were one of us living the dream! That power and intensity behind the kit will be missed. You were a great drummer even if you didn't quite believe it at times. Goodbye RIP T!
The song hits you differently when you actually have your heart broken and your pride stolen. Kinda makes you reflect on how time has changed since they weren´t. But it's alright isn´t it?
Life’s a long journey. Lots of things happen; good, bad, and other. You are how you deal with it. So shrug off the bad. Savor the good , and the other, well that’s what makes you uniquely you.
The worst is when your heart has not been broken and your pride has not been stolen, and it's easy for you to say that it is alright. Then you realize your heart is about to be broken and your pride is about to be stolen. Then it really hits different, I can already feel that I will find out why it's not alright, one of these days. I can already feel it, I just rather live in denial because maybe I'm just wrong, it's not alright.
Oh my god first time I listened to this song heartbroken I realised that. It makes the heavy bit so fucking overwhelmingly awesome because it allows that anger and sadness out. It's great
My heart got broken 9 months ago, when I lost my baby brother to Covid. I went to see the Foos last week; my first concert since before the pandemic. When they played this song, I broke. Just sobbed while shouting the lyrics.
David Grohl truly is a legend. Nirvana and Foo fighters. 2 of the best rock bands of all time. Look at the crowd with him at the end. Goosebumps. RIP Taylor as well. These lyrics hit hard now a days and my prayers go out to his family and friends. These were the best times for rock, period.
Foos the soundtrack to my life literally Dave days apart in age feel we grew and experiences of life foo backing soundtrack Taylor miss you forever ♾ crazy dude Dave your inspirational mate ❤🤘♾
My heart has been broken since childhood. It continues to break daily at the age of 52. When I can feel the emotions in a song it always makes a difference. Thank you Foo fighters....SO MANY of your songs help me daily💙
Espero poder estar presente no próximo show!!!!!!!
Any artist can be successful, only few do it without declining. Foo Fighters is one of few bands I appreciate that never disappoint me. Easy to recognize if an artist selling millions of records is also talented or not. Who's not talented will one day fade away. Long live FF! R'n'R will never die!
Patch Ani, il mostro di Fi-Renzi I've seen them twice in concert. Awesome!! If you play rock n roll/alternative. You got to entertain. Dave was the greatest. Tc.
I've listened to this song atleast 10 times tonight, some were playing along with the drums but the rest were spent relishing in the genius that is the foo fighters. Rest in peace taylor, the world will miss you dearly.
Oh damn, this made me tear up..and I HATE crying. R.I.P- Taylor you will be more missed than you'll ever know, but your influence and music will never be forgotten.
Folks, this is one of the deepest humans to ever walk the earth. Almost every time i hear these gentlemen pour it out i have to pull over and rock out with the Foo Fighters and just let their message sink in thinking about the wonder, the miracle, the struggles and the suffering of life. Thanks for bringing your magic to this reality guys! Best band/songs/humans ever!
Love your band with passion, thank you for the memories and music, Taylor!! 🙏 You were a beast on the drums and your legacy and brilliance will live on forever within us all! 🥁 🎶 "One of these days your heart will stop and play it's final beat... One of these days your eyes will close and pain will disappear..." Rest in peace Legend!! 🖤
Listening to this song really has helped me cope with my overall well being. I haven't always had the greatest days to experience but just remembering to enjoy the moment for what it is has helped me get through those dark times. Thanks for the likes: I'm doing better now than I was last year. I still got a long way to go but I know I will get there. Rest in peace Taylor, keep drumming for us. Your influence won't be forgotten.
