Brie-stuffed meatballs.. omg .. luxurious! Lettuce soup ( don't knock it 'til you've tried it, folks!) Apple compote and orange marmelade to use soon or freeze to keep those fruits for at least a few days. What a great haul, especially with that chicken , so many possibilities with that if you know how to butcher it down to legs, thighs, wings, breasts and bones for stock!

Hello. Oh wow! These are amazing ideas. My dad would love the meatballs, excellent idea! I've never had lettuce soup but I've heard of it before and I'm really curious to try it. The chicken goes far beyond that date as long as frozen, just fyi and that’s a awesome haul especially the beef!! 🎉

Hi Jennifer!! Thank you! I agree, I really hit the jackpot on this beautiful haul from the food bank. I did freeze the chicken because I had a crockpot full of beans and veggies and some soup leftover, so I didn't have much room for it. Once I defrost it, I think I'm going to roast the whole thing in the oven, after I split it up in half to cook a little quicker. Thank you for your input! Have a lovely evening!! 💖

I’m from NJ and we not longer get plastic bags from the grocery stores. We have to bring our own reusable shopping bags. I like to process all my food when I get home just like you did. The carrots I would have chopped up and put them in gallon storage bag with the date on it to use in the future when making soups or stews. I miss your videos when you would review the frugal things you did each day to stay frugal and focused.

I miss jersey so much but I'm not in a financial position to go home as of yet I'm originally from west deptford nj grew up half in mantua half in pittsgrove til I was 15 then stayed in pittsgrove area Salem county til I moved south at 26 to WV

Hi Maryann! Oh really?! Actually, I wish California did the same thing. I hate it when I forget my bags at home and then we get charged $.15 per bag. I don't mind paying but I hate the waste of the plastic bags. I have so many and our poor earth definitely doesn't need anymore. I do try to repurpose them as much as possible and then I recycle them. That's a great idea for the carrots. I haven't done that in a while. Carrots freeze nicely too. Thank you for reminding me! Great haul! Nice variety and plenty of fresh produce. You can root parsley in water and have plants for your garden. I let mine go to seed and now have baby plants in the garden.

A childhood fave from the midwest: brown the hamburger, then add a can of tomato soup and simmer for a few minutes. You may need to add water. It sounds weird, I know, but it's SO good over egg noodles or rice.

Carrots, make dog treats. Boil them in chicken broth then freeze them. Good for hot days. I also dehydrated some for soup

Wow! Great Haul. A couple of things I would do with the beef: 1.Meatloaf 2. With pepper, eggs, potatoes, beef make a nice breakfast-like casserole 3. use the bones from your chicken to make a nice stock and use for the base of beef taco soup or cook some dried beans in the broth
