We just finished this section of our trailer yesterday! We ran 8/3 from the generator inlet to the breaker like one of your older videos and our cable had white/black/red/ground so we went the 240 route. Thanks for making these videos, you're the man!
Hey Frank! Great video and excellent work. I have a question tho My current trailer has a 30amp plug similar to the rv one and everything I am using in the trailer is 115-120v. Should I change the plug 20 neman 50amp? My generator supports both.
I just recently purchased a concession trailer and I was changing the plug on one of my outlets into a 20 amp plug to work with my food warmer. The fuse panel is a 30amp max fuse panel. Originally the two outlets in the trailer were both on a dual 15 amp breaker. I ended up replacing that and separating the one outlet to be on its own 20 amp breaker for my food warmer to match the amperage of the outlet. I’m having and issue though since the warmer still won’t turn on. Any suggestions?
@Bargo10390 hmmmmm. Did you put a outlet tester on there. The plug in style they sell them at home depot they have a green one and a orange one to see if it's wired correctly
What’s up brother, question…Can a 30 amp power up a 6x12 trailer with lights, refrigerator, freezer, compressor, ice crusher, one ton mini split, food warmer and other small items like stereo and phone chargers?
Muchas grasias por tus videos me ayudado mucho solo una pregunta metí un cable 8/3 puedo cancelar uno para tener solo 120 no tengo problemas cuando saque los permisos grasias
Wished so do ecwoukd do a generator hook up course you did, as well how do I also wire in 30’ 120v sore or voltage plug like the spot your in has supplied power? Like RV’s hv a generator power as well 30’-40’ power plug cable
Hi, Frank got a question in regards to running the electrical line for shore power or land power. I saw the video you made on how you did yours. But on mine I just want to ensure I'm hooking mine up correctly. One I run that cord into my existing breaker box where do I connect the inner 3 cords? I've attached images to this email so you can see what I mean. Thanks for the help my guy.
It’s your subscriber from Iowa. Just finished my pizza trailer build. Waiting on health department approval. Question: If I find a place that allows me to park in their lot, should I pay the lot owner a percentage of gross sales? If so, what percentage? Is it better to pay a flat fee? Thanks for inspiring all of us.
No, lots should be leased like any other spot. It's a rental agreement, not business partnership. you should not be paying anyone outside of your business a cut from sales.
Hola puedes hacer videos en español,por favor mi esposo y yo te vemos pero no entendemos inglés. Eres de gran bendición y aprendemos pero hazlos en español por favor.
Frank your videos are a great help. How did you seal the hole that goes up to the breaker panel from under your trailer? Silicon, conduit box, compressed gasket style transit? Silicon seems a bit untidy and im not sure it will last.
I have some friends who are 3 months old who started selling sushi in their good truck, but they need to connect to an electrical network they no longer want to use their generator, and the person who rents them the place where they are, can give them energy from their electrical source.. how can they do it??, two 8 gauge cables come out of their food truck and each cable contains two breaks of 60 A each (two breaks of 30A) and they want to make a direct connection to an electrical source.. could you help us?
I can help however its hard to explain everything to make it easy. It would probably be easier to hire someone locally, unless you put a inlet box where you can plug into on the building like a RV. that's how the big campgrounds do it
