Only a minute in, but thank you for standing up for the mighty potato!! It's being bullied haha 😅. For those who've got no dietary restrictions towards it, It's so so so versatile, affordable, great carb content with decent fiber and reasonable calories, keeps you full and when paired with proteins and other greens/non-starchy vegetables, is wonderful to round out a meal.

The potato is even more mighty when eaten cold. Bake it, boil it, then put it in the refrigerator. Eat it cooled.

Have followed your food plan for 2 weeks Melissa and noticed a big improvement in wellness, a lot less fatigue and improved focus. Folks listen to this lady she knows what she’s talking about!!! I still struggle a bit with tiredness after an intense workout (i.e HIIT) but learning to make better food choices. Would love some cooking demonstration videos! Thanks 😊

A potato is almost a complete meal by itself. It’s only missing vitamin K and C, if you put a little real butter or sour cream on it. Add some finely chopped baby bell peppers as a topping and it’s got Vitamin C, too. My body burns protein off inside of 2 hours and then I’m starving again, even with yellow fin tuna. I’ve got to have complex carbs and good fats in the same meal or I’m just ravenous. Potatoes are great for keeping me feeling filled up until the next meal, and I appreciate not having to second guess nutrition when I eat them.

You ae such an inspiration on so many levels! I've joined a gym and am starting lifting! Been working on my diet for 3 years, and am at a good weight, and am a yoga queen and swim 1-3 X/week. (Has curbed back pain 50%.) Can't wait to lift. Thank you for all your input, love your channel and help!

Thank you❤ I had to cut out all dairy because of breastfeeding, my baby started to have allergic reaction to milk protein. (I am lactose intolerant myself but can tolerate Greek yogurt) and I am allergic to wheat. Also notice a nasty reaction to processed sugar if I eat too much. So I am feeling very limited in what I can eat vs what most of my family can eat. Your video reminded me of so many options I can still do!

This is great Melissa! I only eat non-processed foods as often as possible unless I am traveling. I usually drink unsweetened almond or coconut milk or oat milk. I keep learning with you and many other people.

I eat most of these foods but what I struggle with is being consistant with exercise other than walking.

🙏🏻🌷🙏🏻🌷 thank you so much for debunking the anti-carb myths because lately I've been hearing people say that when you're in menopause you're supposed to eat less carbs, But why? Why is it that when we're in menopause we need less carbs? What if we are active and we exercise? Also carbs have fiber vitamins minerals and electrolytes so does that mean when we're in menopause we need less nutrition? I suffered with orthorexia for long enough I don't want to suffer with orthorexia anymore and I'm so glad say yes we CAN still eat carbs in menopause obviously yes we do need the wonderful nutrition they come with and Let's be honest carb foods are delicious so yummy , I don't like eating protein foods but I love eating carb foods 😄

I am Gluten Free and sometimes it is difficult to find a good substitution for certain foods on a specific diet. Also, I have Insulin Resistance so this does limit me to just certain green veg which is sort of boring at best. I need to have a good balance. I did do a detox a few years ago but it was very limiting (I did lose 35 lbs. and promptly gained it all back after the Detox ended). Any suggestions??? I'm frustrated !!!

I cannot get rid of side fat it is hanging when i.never had hanging side thigh fat before. Do I do side lunges for that n curtsy squats for that?

I’m having trouble losing tummy fat too. The rest of my body is changing though (I do mostly weights and a little HIIT). Follow the food guidance too. The belly is just so hard.

I'm so disgusted with the shape of my body. I just turned 60. I feel like the flabby areas just snuck up on me. I never had any issues with extra weight except for after my pregnancies. I do not eat a lot of junk. I started exercising again. I am now on the 3rd week of intermittent fasting 16/8. It seems like nothing works😔

Start weight training or rucking… and then realise it takes a good year to see decent results but so worth it. Its not too late

@StephWms288 thank you. Yes, I'd like to weight train. Do you have any suggestions for good videos for guidance? I know it's not too late. I do not buy into the "I'm getting older so it just is what it is" storyline. I will never give up.
