Intermittent fasting is saving my life right now. At the beginning of this year I was 305 lbs i am now at 257 lbs thanks to IF and walking

1. Look at lowering your blood pressure with exercise and good nutrition 2. Cut out alcohol 3. Obesity - try not to be! 4. Cut out smoking 5. Lack of exercise - walk instead of driving, cardio, HIIT - you know the drill 6. Diabetes is a risk factor (no white flour, no refined sugar) 7. Improve your mental health (stay busy, don't be socially isolated, try to avoid depression) 8. Pollution - look at the environment you live in You're welcome, peeps.

Prolonged fasting worked for me! So maybe fasting is not necessary for everyone , but it was for me

Melissa mentioned she is an outlier on the subject; Dr. Brad Stanfeld on RU-vid, a longevity doctor, is also not a fan of IF. I agree with you. Depends on the person. I eat when I get hungry, following Melissa’s meals doing the 8 week shred, but I never wake up hungry so I intermittent fast just by listening to my body. My calories get consumed much later in the day. For me it works. But for my daughter and husband, no way, no how, to IF.

I work with a woman in her 50’s that does this. She has lost a ton of weight but her skin just sags. I would much rather eat my 3 protein packed meals a day and snack and workout 4 days a week and get my HIIT and walks in. I’m in this for the long run. No quick gimmicks for me. Thank you Melissa!

After starting estrogen patch i gained 10 lbs in one wk. I guess it is water weight. I am still about 10lbs over my normal weight one year later. Still working out just as hard. Even not eating as much. Very frustrating. I feel disgusting. My tummy is so much fatter. Although i feel better in other ways. Should i just hang in there and keep taking?

It can take some time for your body to adjust to hormonal changes, so giving it a bit more time might be helpful.

I found I didn't have enough in the tank to support high intensity exercise while doing keto and intermittent fasting. All I could do was a walk when fasting, also my skin went ridiculously dry, and dry eyes, I just couldn't seem to get the hydration in. Drinking lots trying to replace lost fluid also curbed my appetite. Also losing the electrolytes, even though I added salt, caused issues with heart arrhythmia I believe. You're right, many people hit a plateau as well after a few months. If the body doesn't get what it needs coming in, it takes it from the body, muscle is the body's protein and collagen supply.

Did anyone experience hair loss? Personal experience: (taking daily since May) no side effects just steady weight loss with regular exercise and healthy eating. Suddenly noticed hair loss (small bald patch on scalp-bit stressed tbh)- could the creatine supplements have caused this? Got a drs appointment lined up
