Exclusive content for the Foose Design RU-vid Channel!!!
Part three of the series follows Chip Foose as he installs the Hotchkis suspension kit, front and rear brakes and also brings in Rich from Magnaflow to handle the exhaust.
In this eight part series Chip Foose chronicles his custom 1967 Chevy C-10 truck build, showing you projects and solutions you can apply at home along the way.
The build was inspired by an original '67 Camaro Z/28 motor Chip found years ago. He dreamt about a Camaro performance packaged C-10, offered by the factory in 1967 (hence the “C/28” moniker) and set out to create it.

It's always been clear that Chip is a true expert in every automotive category....but it was never truly showcased in the past. I really enjoy hearing Chip himself walk us through all this, rather than the (very capable) builders on Overhaulin'.

Cant wait too see it with the 20s on it ! I like his idea. I personally would have wanted the chevy emblem tips sticking out just enough past the bumper like quarter inch or so . But not my truck an i still think its beautifully done. I like seeing all the different people who you work with both in your shop an from out sourced parts etc . The biggest challenge i see is how do you an crew manage to help keep it fun an less mundane! Happy faces .

Quick tip....To get tubing perfectly straight, clamp one end down and rig up a way to pull the other end a little at a time. After a pull and you release the tension, look to see if the tubing is straight. Keep doing a short pull and check for straightness till it becomes perfect. Amazing how this will get it perfectly straight!!!

I am surprised that that stock, manual clutch assembly is being used. That old school manual clutch in these trucks takes a strong left leg. I guess Mr. Foose is a tough guy. None the less, as always, great videos with good info.

It's about time someone didn't over build, spare no expenses ruining another pickup truck that can't be used to haul a Yamaha. BTW that's how I built mine modest lots of power to pull jet boat😁

I'm delighted to find a Foose channel and the project is great. I can't unfortunately say that about the intrusive and endlessly repeating music loop. In episode 2 I was already feeling ill from it and I'm being completely serious. It's like a dripping faucet only worse. I had to skip through half the episode with my fingers crossed that the next one will be different. Such a shame.

It's awesome that things have come so far for these trucks, but very sad at the same time because nothing is custom anymore. Just a bunch of bolt-on parts!
@BeefaloBart
@BeefaloBart 5 лет назад
Attention to Detail, that to me is why Chip is more of an artist instead of a parts changer like most "custom" shops are. Now if ya get bored, come rescue my 1960 willy's cj5 for me since I know it will never be finished at the rate I can afford.

Steeles with hub caps. Rally rims where never an option for 67-72 GM trucks. But rally do look good. Please don't put 20s on it.

Chip, This is your truck and you can do what you want but from the first video you said this truck was to be a phantom from Chevy. Built like the factory would have built it. Why the change? It's going to be great either way just curious

Every one of Foose's vehicles looks like a Foose vehicle. There is never enough uniqueness among them. You can spot any Foose stuff out of a group of 100. So much for originality. Everything has to be lowered to the ground with 40 inch wheels (foose designed of course). I wish he's stay away from bastardizing every 70s muscle that he gets a hold of.

You're high, he makes hotrods like no one on this planet. Sometime a design from the factory don't need much, and little changes make a huge different if you know what you're looking at. A#1 Bar none.
