The offical theme song of the Footscray Bulldogs Football Club (used between 1977 - 1996)
The Footscray Bulldogs are an AFL football club established in 1877 and changed their name to the Western Bulldogs in 1997 to appeal to a more 'national' competition. They played in the VFA for many years before the VFL was formed and it wouldn't be until 1925 when Footscray joined the VFL alongside Hawthorn and North Melbourne. Since then they have gone on to win 2 premierships, them being the 1954 and 2016 VFL/AFL Grand Finals. I honestly like the bulldogs new song more than this one. this one has weaker lyrics and the other one's instruments work better. this anthem feels quite empty compared to the banger that is the Western Bulldogs anthem. I still like this anthem though.
