When I was in the market for a truck a couple years ago, I was so excited to get the new F-150 (the '21 redesign). I drove an F-150 for 10 years and was excited to upgrade but I wanted to at least test drive a RAM because of the amazing interior. The RAM salesman told me to drive it to the Ford dealership (about 35 miles away) and compare it with the F-150. So my wife and I did. After driving the Ford and taking the RAM back to the dealership, I found myself not wanting to get out of the RAM. I even drove back to Ford the next day and drove the Ford again just to be sure. I was convinced after that the RAM was far more comfortable, much better ride, better and higher quality interior and one heck of a good deal on price. Needless to say, I'm a RAM guy now and love my '21 black LIMITED Night Edition. I named it Toothless.
Nice story man. Love the name! I’m coming from a Tacoma and before that I had a 5.7 Tundra. My favorite truck so far. But….my new Ram 5.7 in dam near a tie.
I purchased a 2021 Limited 1500 when the truck was on sale for $15,000 less. The gas mileage is not that bad, I get 18.5 mpg in mixed driving. This truck is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned and I've been driving for five decades. RAM outdid itself with this design. Easily one of the best trucks you can buy today.
I just bought my 22 Ram limited white w/ night edition and absolutely love. I've had GMC and Ford and they don't compete with this truck. It's worth the price tag
Great job on the truck review, I like your comments!!! loved the Bible verse I am studying Mark at the moment and reading the "Chosen" book. Let me know also if you need any prayers also and thanks again for praying for Ryan Kraus. Thanks for the videos!!! Hope you're having a great summer so far.
Ok this has nothing to do with the review even tho I did enjoy it. I was just about to end the video when you started talking about praying and quoting a bible verse. It took my by surprise but it was so refreshing. Thank you for sharing. Definitely subscribing!!!
I test drove a limited and passed on it when it had a 1200 pound payload. The high trims are great if you use it as a car and don't trailer or put heavy loads in the box. That goes for all the manufacturers. I ended up with a lower trim truck so I could do truck things with my truck
I wanted to buy a 2023 ram limited but I didn’t know if I should but I watched this video and I decided to buy one and it was a great decision thanks for the video good work🎉
Have a 2014 Laramie. While I can appreciate the auto running boards on the newer models, it's just one more thing that can go wrong later. Plus, with the regular wheel to wheel side steps, it actually protects my truck. By that I mean I raise the truck to its tallest limit when I'm parking it, and if someone opens the door into my truck, they hit the running boards and not the door. Also, although the 22 inch wheels look nice, I think I prefer the 20-in wheels. The tires are much cheaper to replace comparatively. I ended up buying the bumper kick out from one of those truck websites. At the time it was pricey at around $200. Finally, I got the one with the ram box and I would do it again. I missed having a trunk when I had my last truck. Although the bigger screen is nice, I still appreciate having separate buttons underneath on my 2014. I still think the cup holders are on the small side. I cannot put my water bottle in mine without it basically sitting on top of the cup holder. When I bought my truck in 2014, the sticker was about 55K and I was able to get $9,500 off of MSRP. That was a bargain for back in the day. I don't think I would buy a new one now even though I could afford to.
i have a 21 Laramie with almost everything the limited has......the harmon kardon system to me is a big let down, doesnt really sound all that great tbh, better than stock GMC stereo but not by whole lot.....i actually prefer the GMC becasue it does truck stuff better, Ram is like a car....sure the interior is nice but i have to go into the info screen to do alot of things and physical buttons are easier to use while driving......so far no problems with the truck and i really like the 5.7 hemi....mine was 61k but bought it for 7k less than MSRP few months back.....
Thank for bringing the word into your video. It caught me off Guard but in a good way. My prayer request is that the Lord blesses my family and I with this beautiful truck, we are currently the finalist for winning one of these and praying day by day we get it. Praying for favor in the Name of Jesus. Again God bless you and your channel and May peace be with you
I will pray for God's will! Keep me updated, and remember if you don't win it, God has a plan for it to go to someone else who needs it even more and he will still provide.
If you pay for the camera haha, I have upgraded my filming to a newer iPhone and I have begun to Shoot 60 FPS 1080p which for my editing software and computer is about the max I can edit at.
I bought a brand new 2020 Ram Bighorn Crew cab 4X4 with the 5.7 non etorque and 3:92 axle and level 2 package that gave the LED lights and a few other upgrades. Spray in linex bedliner tonneau cover, full length running boards and all I recently added is Falcon AT3W tires. In March it will be 3 years. I get between 18 and 20 mpg. I’m 68 and I’ve owned a lot of trucks but this is the Best truck I’ve had. I have all the luxuries I care about and I still have good hauling capacity. Love the truck, great ride
5:18 - Apropos of nothing, I saw a driver rolling along with his power running boards in full deployment mode a few days ago, acting like nothing would happen to them if he cut a corner too close. I presumed that "full deployment mode" would be handy for wintery weather events (e.g., the 80s Honda Accords with the pop-up headlights), but it's July. More money than brains, I guess.😢
Also, I have a 22 laramie 5.7 Etorque with 7000 miles now with no MPG reset and have 19.5 MPG. A lot of people get the 392 gears which I think is a lot of the issue of getting bad MPGs.
I had the same problem with 22 1500 Limited--no reset for Avg MPG. It's a software glitch. They just plugged it in at the dealer and did a "hard" software update and it added it. They're not sure why it wasn't there in the first place. It does take the "hard" update though and not the "over the air" wifi update. I have the eTorque as well...not seeing the 20+ mpg that I was sold on.
i have same engine with same miles and getting 12 mpg....i have 3.21 gears and live right at sea level....also i am in Los Angeles area so streets are congested.......out in the country lot fewer stop signs and lights possibly
Really great video and comprehensive too. I have a Tundra which is a dinosaur compared to that RAM. I didn’t know the hemi was that reliable as I’ve heard mixed reviews from owners. The tech is impressive in that RAM. Thanks for the great video review. God Bless
Hey, it is a dinosaur that stills gets you from point A to B reliability. I have the dinosaur also LOL!!! Just change out the dinosaur parts with aftermarket. Much cheaper than $77,000. Image how much aftermarket parts you could buy with all of that money. As long as your dinosaur still has good strong bones. Isaac, you could do aftermarket reviews on how to make your truck feel like new. Only suggestion, you do what you like to do.
@@techguy5601 love my dinosaur! The tech stuff in new cars/trucks does nothing for me. Our Tundra is perfect for our family. As you said it gets us from point A to B safely and reliably
I love my Ram. I got the most basic model you can get, the Tradesman with the Hemi. It has your basic 5-inch touchscreen infotainment with Bluetooth and the small power window in the rear. It's essentially a work truck. I got it new in 2019 and it's flawless, man. Interior is great for being basic, the ride quality is great, performance is great. Just imagine how much better the higher models are when the lowest model is an overall great truck.
Hello this is me Tone from camp last year for you remember me. You had that giant cut on your leg from the thorns I was just there you should've been a counselor
Ram Laramie has better seats and car-like handling but I don’t like the huge towing size side mirrors and the Tesla wannabe iPad sized center screen is starting to look dated. I prefer mY 2022 GMC Denali Ultimate with a 6.2 power train with silky smooth 10-speed transmission that really shines from 60-90 mph. Wish it had the Ram seats and panoramic sunroof though. In sport mode it rips off the line and handles aggressively. The GMC refresh interior looks and feels much better than the current luxury Ram trims. I’m a former two generation Ram Laramie model owner and have never been happier with my dream truck switch to the GMC Denali.
Any problems with traction control? My 2018 has the warning lights. Require replacement of a pump which Ram can’t supply oh but if they ever get the part the price is 772 to fix but who cares because the pump remains on back order. Big problem with these trucks.
I just went through 8 months waiting for the ABS and computer for my 2500 2018 longhorn. Just yesterday traded it in for the limited 1500 longhorn. Sure hope this sucker lasts.
It’s been 14 months waiting for the pump for the 2018 Ram 2500. I gave up yesterday and traded it for a Chevy Silverado. I’m done with Ram. They don’t stand behind their vehicles. Never again.
No... I had my alternator go....rear left shock... 3 batteries.... static in the radio....terrible on fuel.... Skips gears.... slips gears.... 3 plugs in one tire.... screeching sound on right right rotor at times.... very sluggish when low on fuel.... never again
The Dodge Ram is a really nice truck, nice features. I really like the fact that they have AC seats in the back seats. I wonder how it compares to the GMC Denali. Phil 4: 4-7
Not a Dodge. RAM is now a separate brand, and yes, it matters. Dodge now specializes in performance cars while RAM fully specializes in trucks. Completely different missions.
@@donaldhenderson3495 That is way out of date. RAM spun off from Dodge in 2010/2011. RAM is now a division of Stellantis, previously Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). From Wikipedia: "In 2011, Dodge and its sub-brands, Dodge Ram and Dodge Viper, were separated. Dodge announced that the Viper was to be an SRT product, and Ram a standalone marque. In 2014, SRT was merged back into Dodge. Later that year, the Chrysler Group was renamed FCA US LLC, coinciding with the merger of Fiat S.p.A. and the Chrysler Group into the corporate structure of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Subsequently, another merger occurred on January 16, 2021, between FCA and the PSA Group (Stellantis), making the Dutch-domiciled automaker the second largest in Europe, after Volkswagen." This is the latest correct information. Bottom line: There is now no such thing as "Dodge RAM". That's like saying "Chevy GMC". RAM is now a standalone division of Stellantis.
No ram box-this truck is dull looking-cost $11,500. More than my 2019 Laramie-longhorn. I will take mine. It has 5500 miles on it. Hasn’t been drove in the rain in 26 months. My interior is 3 times more colorful. Glad we are all different. Wish mine had the 60-40 tailgate. My wood on inside has it natural look-very pretty.
Let me answer your title…. Yes Ram is still King of trucks!! 👍👍. Hands down. Like you said… Bullet proof Hemi and as we can see it has luxury. Plus the ZF transmission is great also.
Not a chance the Ram by far all over the Denali their interior is just as nice but the outside with those square wheelhouse openings yuk & I’ve owned the limited truly the Range Rover of pickups…
Is 57k miles a lot for these trucks? How much life can you get outta them, looking at getting a 2020 bighorn for around 37k. Never owned a truck before.
Too damn expensive!!!!!would be great if 45 k and gas was1.65 per gal...lol u think it would have a tailgate damper for that price.... Love my Murdered out 2016 RAM 1500 Single cab express V6 Does what I need it to do and I can get it in my garage!
This is a great truck, but I don't think "Luxury" when I see it. The "info-tainment" area reminds me of the big, combo, teenager stereos from the late 90's. Big, loud and busy. If I wanted the luxury look, I'd go with a high-trim GMC. Just personal preference.
Hello Alpha, blessings. Please in your prayers to Jesus, mention my petition and thank Him for having listened, that I have what His Word says and be able to provide financially for my family in these inflationary times. Amen
All of these "equipped" trucks are the same. They are a money pit that would bankrupt the world bank as time goes on. Air suspension is not anything anyone wants, unless they deal their trucks every year, or two at the most. The electrics & electronics will become a nightmare, especially in the "rust belt". In Canada , this truck would be over $100,000 ! Can you imagine the depreciation. We build these things because we can, not because all this "jewellery" is necessary or desirable. You need a parts & labor bumper to bumper warranty for anything like this. A vehicle for people who acquire money faster than they can spend it. I am not deprecating RAM....any new vehicle so equipped will be subject to the same problems.
There’s a huge diesel crisis coming! Not only diesel gasoline and high prices, but oil for the engines will come to a dead stop in a couple of months and they say that they may not have any supply for over a year.
@@benjones8977thanks for the info where I serviced my 5.7 ram there was. shortage of diesel only oil as im looking for. a new tow truck for my airstream
I bought a loaded 2021 Rambox Limited and I have hated it since day 2. I hate the push button start, the large 12-inch screen which I still cannot work. I traded my 2011 Rambox Laramie for this piece of crap. Okay, Truck. I know trucks are being updated with new tech every year but I am old school. I want my loaded classic back. Sorry.
Why do you hate the push button start? It's objectively more convenient and easy to use cars have been using it for a decade now all vehicles have it and most people prefer it, have you not gotten used to it? Try using apple carplay on the 12" screen, or android auto. Look that up
i absolutley hate the push button as well, i would prefer to have my chevy back.....12 in screen is whatever.....physical buttons are alot easier to use while driving
It has a lousy, unworkable, worst software in the world its NAV. RAM cheaper out an uses TOMTOM nav software- STAY AWAY FROM RAMs WITH TOMTOM. Ram does not care they bought the worst nav system anywhere. You can not change it. Set your destination and plan on it taking you off course. Mine takes me through local neighborhoods on a 13 mile trip on 3 major roads. It's sickening, I absolutely hate it. AND that driver assist- it will get you killed, wrecked at the very least. I just bought one, I am sickened over it. It's comfortable, it looks nice, crap navigation, crap unusable deadly lane assist. 20k overpriced.
RAM 1500 Limited trucks look so darn amazing that it's really difficult to contain myself 😅 Happy to see someone being open about their faith. Let me give you something to pray for: For you yourself to learn the amazing truth about God, his personal name and his personality, his purposes for the earth and mankind and his plans to accomplish those 😊 Because: John 17: 3 "This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ", New World Translation Bonus scriptures: Psalm 83: 18 "May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth", NWT Compare: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth", King James Version Deuteronomy 6: 4 "Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah", NWT & American Standard Version Mark 12: 29 "Jesus answered: 'The first is: "Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah"'" NWT I wish you all the best and I will definitely pray for you!
@@AlphaShark Because it’s the truth?? Just because you’re neck deep into it, doesn’t mean we want to hear about it. A bit rude to ram that into the general audience’s ears who may be of other religions or agnostic.
@@redcapote4760 Jesus tells a story in the Bible (and I'm sure you are rolling your eyes even reading this, but track with me) where a poor woman loses a coin, and you know that's a big deal for someone without a lot of money and she searches and searches and eventually, she finds it! And she celebrates and her friends and family celebrate with her because something which was once lost is now found. And that's my relationship with Jesus, I was lost and now I'm found and I can't help but tell people about how he saved me because it was the best thing that ever happened to me. And I want to share that because I care deeply about others, but I also know that this job for me is primarily about cars so I mostly focus on the scripture reading at the end so those who choose not to hear it can skip.
