Today, we're making Korean Rice Balls (Jumeok Bap). Jumeok means "fist" in Korean! They used to be packed in student lunch boxes during the old school days. Today, we make the Top-3 Most Popular Rice Fillings: Tuna & Mayo, Gochujang & Beef and of course, Kimchi & Spam. Make one or all of them, and take the rice balls out during this nice fall weather!

Its 2a.m and I'm in bed watching this before bed to relax. *can of tuna opens* me: "oh no..." All of a sudden I hear the thunder of cat feet up the hallway. I have 4 cats, and no tuna.

I love these! Whenever my friends with kids go to restaurants with their toddlers the staff make these for the kids, and they absolutely love them - but those are the very plain ones with rice and seaweed only. These look delicious! Btw, Suwon... gotta check out the toilet museum. I’ve never giggled so much for so many hours in a row.

As soon as you guys said the fortress' name, my ears perked up cause I attended a university nearby (< 2-3 stops away) as an American exchange student all of last year and I missed visiting that place cause I had great memories there (picking up archery was one of them!) haha - wow such a small world 😭🥰🥰 seriously.

7:45 my hometown used to be filled with trees that old or older in my parents and grandparents day and across the street from the home I grew up in was a cedar that was 300-500 years old. A short drive from that home are a stand of 300+ year old trees and a few weeks ago I visited a 600 year old cedar in a nearby forest

I'm making these today Ha!!!! You in my kitchen today Daniel???🤣 I'm definitely adding the Gochujang beef to my rice ball arsenal. Cooks notes: those who are making the tuna ones, use two tablespoons of mayo, not miracle whip and definitely not dressing. Mayonnaise like helmans. And add a tablespoon of ketchup. Mix it up and put in your rice ball. You'll thank me later 😊

i feel very confident i can make the tuna mayo one! Yay new recipe! Well at least you keep me entertained in quarantine lol. I wouldn't have made half the stuff if it wasn't for your recipes. FYI i marinated beef with strawberry jam from your other video with soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic and let it sit overnight and it was very tasty!

Oh love this fortress! It's not far from Seoul and pretty in all seasons (I tried autumn and early spring, a friend tried during summer). I tasted my favourite pajeon in a restaurant not far from the palace there. And I made a wish on this 600 years old tree which did come true this year (5 years later...) 😅 I'll definitely try the two last filings since I already make my rice balls mostly tuna mayo 😂 Thanks neighbours 🥰 (would love to see more tourism kind of ending since we can't go to Korea at all nowadays 🥺)

Some vegetarian options for people who don't want to use expensive meat substitutes: tuna mayo - scramble eggs for protein (preferably with very little oil) and add your mayo, then add to your rice balls and roll in the shredded kim/seaweed. It's not the same, but the seaweed will add a bit of a fishy flavor if that's something you're craving^^ (or just buy substitute tuna, last time I checked it was p inexpensive but wanted to throw this out there anyway just in case it's not available where you live) gochujang beef - Use minced mushrooms of your choice in place of beef kimchi fried spam - honestly just use kimchi and skip the spam. Still just as good tbh (adding a tiny bit of sesame oil to the recipe goes a long way if you're looking for something to balance out the kimchi flavor^^)
