For Hillside Road Supporting Wall-Part 2-Cutting Hill with Excavator.
In this video, the hyundai excavator operator is continuing his work of cutting hillsides for a wide hilly road and also for a hillside road supporting wall. So here, the villagers are trying to protect the road from landslides and using stones to support the road by holding the hill. This might protect the mountain road from taking too much damage when it rains and the land slides. In the next video, the operator will be continuing his job.

Next time it rains they’ll have to do it all over again. Hill side is to steep and nothing planted or put in place to hold it back.

I can’t say I’m encouraged by this video. By cutting into the mountain side you have created a new and bigger erosive landscape. You are going to need a larger wall in this area to keep the landscape from eroding.

@@DroneB I hope you are going to reinforce the wall with something. You can use rebar or bamboo works too. Four inch or smaller diameter trees make good footing.

@@DroneB Also make sure to set up drainage holes in the base of wall but not big ones and cover them with stones bigger than holes so you don’t have to worry about major damage.
